I really liked reading "Notes on the use of R for psychology experiments and questionnaires", by Jonathan Baron and Yuelin Li ( http://www.psych.upenn.edu/~baron/rpsych/rpsych.html ) but still didn't run across

DNS issues after FSMO seize
>> There is no link between SOA and NS except they share the zone.... Really... ? i dont agree.. SOA specifies the DNS server providing authoritative information about a domain, so looks to me its direcly related to NameServers. SOA contains the primary (NS) server of the domain. Looks to me its related... Below it nice explained how DNS works. That a SOA not (always) related is

And to get mentioned entries list I used: "samba_dnsupdate --verbose --all-names | grep Default-First-Site-name" This list 8 DNS records related to Default Site. Next was to change Default-First... by the name of another AD Site (sed is still working :p) I was able to create DNS entries which were missing for one of my sites. Next, test: Back on one Windows on the network associated

SOA means "this DNS se'rver can modify the zone". Using Bind-DLZ all DNS servers can modify the AD zones, they all reply "I am the SOA" when you ask them about SOA for AD zones. Using Internal DNS I expect all DNS servers can modify the AD zones also (that's internal stuff) but even if they can modify the AD zone locally that's is not the process chosen by Samba

Authentication to Secondary Domain Controller initially fails when PDC is offline
Hi James and everyone, There is a real issue with samba_dnsupdate and DNS records creation with Samba 4 as AD when it comes to AD Sites. Samba does not seems to create at all any Site relevant DNS record. As AD relies on DNS to find DC on the correct AD site, if no DNS entry is created related to AD Site, no usage of AD Sites. Here Win client ask for domain 11:37:28.671044 IP

Yahoo finance kind of application
Hello All: We are looking for various web development choices out there and many have suggested RoR to be a good way to go with, especially its ease to use and faster development. The end result of the web app will look something similar to Yahoo finance - so I am wondering if existing RoR views capability will be able to deliver this to me. My friends who are in .NET are Java tells me that its
