Creating a Clustered-Stacked Column Chart
Hi all, In R, is there some functions or ways to create a Clustered-Stacked Column Chart as the example in the following page http://peltiertech.com/Excel/ChartsHowTo/ClusterStack.html? I have browsed the R Graph Gallery (http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/) and searched the R site, and didnot find an appropriate method to do it. Anybody has met this problem before? Thanks a lot.

R arithmetic probability plot
I am hoping to create a graph that will look like it is plotted on arithmetic probability plot. Something similar to how this is done in Excel: http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/ProbabilityChart.html. I can't quite find a code that will transform the linear axis into a cumulative percent axis with an arithmetic probability. And I am not good enough at R to do that myself. Any help will be

axis and times() problem
Dear R-Group, the first example is working as expected, but I need the plot without the box, normally no problem, but I am not able to get the x-axis formatted as times with the axis, command. I tried a lot of things, nothing was working so I used the most easy axis command in the second example here .... # working library(chron) # for times() library(graphics)# for axis

no y-axis
HI @ all, I'm looking for a simple solution to supress the y-axis - but only the drawn scale - not the values. Only the numbers should be displayed. I tried yaxt="n" but there everything of the y-axis is supressed. Thanks GeO -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/no-y-axis-tp4649298.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Overlay line on a bar plot - multiple axis
Dear all, I am trying to make a similar plot - https://peltiertech.com/images/2013-09/BarLineSampleChart4.png. I have data for two variables; count and z by city and week. I would like to have a horizontal bar plot of *count* by city and a line plot of weekly average of the variable *z*. I have tried the following: ggplot() + geom_bar(data=dat, aes(x=city, y=count),

Help page of colors() : add a new example ?
Dear all, May I suggest to add an example in the help page of the colors() function ? The following code could be useful to easily choose any color from colors() : ## Millot G. Plot: Distance between tick and tick label on y-axis
Hello, I want to reduce the distance between my ticks and their labels. I managed to do it for the x-axis, but the y-axis puzzles me. Here's an example where there is no space between the x-asix ticks and labels. par(las=1) plot(runif(50), type="l",xaxt="n",yaxt="n",ylab="", bty="l") axis(2) axis(1,padj=-1.5) #However, axis(2,padj=-1.5)

Howto? plot legend with no line behind the points
Hi R-help, We are using R 2.2 on Win XP and have a detail question on how the legend can be optimised. We use the following; -> plot(,type="b",...) The lines in the plot do not cross the points. How can we obtain the same effect in the legend? (points without a line through them..) We tried setting the pt.bg to white but this did not help. See script below. thanks, Jan

Arrow heads at the end of axes
I would like to have arrow heads at the end of my axes, since I am plotting variable where the absolute amount is irrelevant, there is not supposed to be numbers on the axes. An imperfect example: plot(rnorm(10),bty='l',xaxt='n',yaxt='n',ylab='',xlab='',type='l') abline(h=0) Like this but without, the xaxis and with arrrowheads More like this in

Trouble with gridBase and inset plots
Dear All, I ma having a trouble in generating a figure containing 3 insets with the gridBase package. I always get an error message of the kind: Error in gridPLT() : Figure region too small and/or viewport too large No matter which parameters I choose. The plots works nicely with two insets only, but when I try adding the third one, my troubles begin. I am probably doing something wrong in the
