concatenate vector after strsplit()
ls is a list of character vectors created by strsplit() I want to concatenate the 1st 4 character elements of each list item as a new vector called file. I admit to being confused about list syntax even after numerous readings. Here's what I tried: ls <- list(c("Focused", "10k", "A12", "t04.tif", "+", "µm"),

RMySQL install on windows
I have been trying to install RMySQL on Windows 7 following the procedure at: http://biostat.mc.vanderbilt.edu/wiki/Main/RMySQL I think I have properly installed RTools and created a proper Renviron.site file saying: MYSQL_HOME="C:/Program Files/MySQL/MySQL Server 5.5" When I try to install the packages from source, I get warnings that suggest I'm still not quite "with the

corSpatial and nlme
I noticed that ?corClasses in package nlme does not list corSpatial among the standard classes. This might either be intentional because corSpatial is not "standard" , or it might be simply an oversight that needs correcting. ------------------------------------------ Robert W. ggplot2, grid graphics, x11(), windows(), and device fonts
I am trying to use ggplot() to produce a graph and am getting warnings that I don't understand. This is happening from within RStudio, but also happens if I start Windows R GUI. Can anyone help me understand the warning and how to make sure the right fonts are designated? The relevant code fragment is: x11(width=7, height = 7) library(ggplot2) # Now some Distance ~ Time plots p2 <-

Issue with DAG legalization of brcond, setcc, xor
But isn't kinda silly that we transform to xor and then we transform it back. What is the advantage in doing so? Also, since we do that method, I now have to introduce setcc patterns for i1 values, instead of being able to just use logical pattern operators like not. -Dilan On Fri, Jul 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM Dilan Manatunga <manatunga at gmail.com> wrote: > For some reason I

Issue with DAG legalization of brcond, setcc, xor
Hi, I am having some issues with how some of the instructions are being legalized. So this is my intial basic block. The area of concern is the last three instructions. I will pick and choose debug output to keep this small. SelectionDAG has 36 nodes: t0: ch = EntryToken t6: i32,ch = CopyFromReg t0, Register:i32 %vreg507 t2: i32,ch = CopyFromReg t0, Register:i32 %vreg17

. Possible issue with R-tools on Windows
I encountered this issue a couple of months ago and resolved it by installing Rtools in the default directory C:\Rtools, see below for details. I didn't have time to prepare a proper error report and in fact suspected that I may be messing up something. I tracked down the error by installing from the command line, rather than with install.packages(). On Windows I keep multiple versions of

Unfolded additions of constants after promotion of @llvm.ctlz.i16 on SystemZ
Hi, SystemZ supports @llvm.ctlz.i64() natively with a single instruction (FLOGR), and lesser bitwidth versions of the intrinsic are promoted to i64. For some reason, this leads to unfolded additions of constants as shown below: This function: define i16 @fun(i16 %arg) {   %1 = tail call i16 @llvm.ctlz.i16(i16 %arg, i1 false)   ret i16 %1 } ,gives this optimized DAG as input to instruction

Beginner's query - segmentation fault
I am dealing with a huge matrix in R (20 columns, 54000 rows) and have lots of missing values within the dataset which are currently displayed as the value "-999.00" I am trying to create a new matrix (or change the existing one) to display these values as "NA" so that I can then perform the necessary analysis on the columns within the matrix. The matrix name is temp and the

Installing gregmisc under windows 2000
If I'm not mistaken, "bundle" is really only useful as a concept for distribution and installation. You distribute and install a bundle, but load the individual packages when you want to use them. Once you install the bundle, you won't see the name of the bundle in the list of installed packages, but you see the constituent packages, and those are what you load when you want to

Matrix/Table col headings R 2.0.0
I have been looking at some 'table' examples in Peter Dalgaard's ISwR book, and I am confused by how to get right justification of my table headings when I use the tables() command. Compare the following: # Produces right justfified column names caff.marital=matrix(c(652,1537,598,242,36,46,38,21,218,327,106,67),nrow=3,byrow=T)

Instruction selection gives "LLVM ERROR: Cannot select"
Hello. I'm writing a back end for a RISC processor (similar to BPF) with a large SIMD unit. I tried in the last days to make llc compile to SIMD code the following LLVM program: define i32 @foo(i32* %A, i32* %B, i32* %C, i32 %N) #0 { entry: ;vector.body: ; preds = %vector.body, %vector.body.preheader.split.split %0 = getelementptr inbounds i32, i32* %A, i64 0 ; i64 %index ; Alex: I

Examples on how to READ/WRITE to database using R-Project
Hi, We are working on a project on forecast modeling and would like to know if there are any examples on how to READ/WRITE to a database (e.g. PostgreSQL) using R-Project. I do have a sample R Script which takes input as files from a directory and writes back output files to a directory. I would like to convert this script to read from a database and write back the output to a database.

llvm-dev Digest, Vol 166, Issue 22
Hi Krzysztof, Sure, please see below. DAG.dump.() before and after, annotated with what I believe the DAG means. I've spent some time debugging the method but it's proving difficult to determine where the logic is misfiring. Disabling the entire combine causes a lot of failing x86-64 tests - I may have to learn an upstream vector ISA to make progress on this. Thank you >From your

Question about canonicalizing cmp+select
Hi, Sanjay/all, I noticed in rL331486 that some compare-select optimizations are disabled in favor of providing canonicalized cmp+select to the backend. I am currently working on a private backend target, and the target has a small code size limit. With this change, some of the apps went over the codesize limit. As an example, C code: b = (a > -1) ? 4 : 5; ll code: Before rL331486:
