Problem with sapa package and spectral density function (SDF)
Hi everybody,
I'm a beginner R user and I'm trying to use the package "sapa" to
estimate the spectral density function of several time series using
the SDF function. For each time series, I want to calculate the
density function at two temporal resolutions (daily and monthly). The
monthly values calculated as a mean of the daily values. I first
create a ts object for both series

Calculate a function repeatedly over sections of a ts object
Hi,
I want to apply a function (in my case SDF; package ?sapa?) repeatedly over discrete sections of a daily time series object by sliding a time window of constant length (e.g. 10 consecutive years or 1825 days) over the entire ts at increments of 1 time unit (e.g. 1 year or 365 days). So for example, the first SDF would be calculated for the daily values of my variable recorded between years 1

Dear all,
I am searching the period of a time series usering R.
Is there some lag window functions in R?
Could you give me some books about spectral analysis usering R?

I think a good basic S-like functionality for library(ts) in base R
would include
ts class, tsp, is.ts, as.ts
plot methods
start end window frequency cycle deltat
lag diff aggregate
filter
spectrum, spec.pgram, spec.taper, cumulative periodogram, spec.ar?
ar -- at least univariate by Yule-Walker
arima -- sim, filter, mle, diag, forecast

correaltion equal 1
Dear All,
I wonder if this is a technical or an interpretation problem. I fitted an lme model including a random intercept and a random slope. The estimated correlation, from the lme, between the random intercept and the random slope is equal to 1. Does it mean that I should suppress one of the random effect from the model?
Thanks a lot,
Bernard

example of opening info windows in GMarkers
I''m quite enjoying the rapid development using Ym4r!
However, I''ve hit a roadblock and would appreciate any pointers.
I''ve got a map that has GMarkers on it. When you click on a GMarker a
beautiful little window pops up, chock full of information.
I also have a set of text links on the bottom of the page where each
is associated with a single GMarker. I''d

Adding an eventhandler for click, but still be able to zoom in with doubleclick
Hello all,
I am using Mapstraction in Zoph (http://www.zoph.org), and although it
works very well (thanks to all for their efforts!), I am running into
one little problem:
On one page, I am allowing a user to add / edit a marker on a page, by
clicking on the map. I do this by adding an eventhandler:
mapstraction.addEventListener(''click'', clickmap);
However, this causes

bug in map('world') ?
hi,
did'nt see anything in the archive:
map('world',pro='rectangular',para=0)
yields a strange artifact (horizontal bar) extending over the whole map
at a certain latitude range (approx 65 deg. north), whereas
map('world',pro='rectangular',para=180)
(which should be the same) does not show the artifact.
the artifact shows up in other projections as well,
