Generating all possible models from full model
Is there a function that will allow me to run all model iterations if I specify a full model? I am using information criteria to choose between possible candidate models. I have been writing out all possible model combinations by hand, and I am always worried that I am missing models or have made a mistake somewhere. It is also difficult to alter models if I want to change a term. For example,

Auto key legend does not match plot
Dear R-help members. I am an 'R-learner' (about 6 hours so far) using the lattice library to create a ranked dotplot and am colour coding the dots by a variable called "Commodity". However when i use autokey to make a legend the size (cex) and symbol (pch) do not match what is on the dotplot. Code is below and image attached library("lattice") Cal_dat <-

xyplot key issue - line colors
I have a problem regarding the colors assigned to the lines in the key to an xy plot. I specify the plot like this: xyplot(numbers~sqrt(breaks)|moltype+disttype, groups = type, data = alldata, layout = c(3,2), type = "l" , lwd = 2, col = c("gray", "skyblue"), key = simpleKey(levels(alldata$type), points = FALSE, lines = TRUE, columns = 2, lwd = 2,

multiple lty on same panel in xyplot
I would like to use lattice graphics to plot multiple functions (or groups or subpopulations) on the same plot region, using different line types "lty" or colors "col" to distinguish the functions (or groups). In traditional graphics, this seems straightforward: First plot all the data using 'type="n"', and subsequently execute a series of "points"

using stepAIC with negative binomial regression - error message help
Dear List, I am having problems running stepAIC with a negative binomial regression model.  I am working with data on manta ray abundance, using 20 predictor variables.  Predictors include variables for location (site), time (year, cos and sin of calendar day, length of day, percent lunar illumination), oceanography (sea surface temp mean and std, sea surface height mean and std), weather (cos

Astribank and caller ID from PSTN
Hello, I've one astribank with 8 FXO unit and 8 pstn lines connected to the astribank. When I receive calls on my ipphone I get always Unknown callerid. It's is possible to receive the callerid from the lines on the astribank unit? This is my config: [channels] language=es context=from-zaptel signalling=fxs_ks ;rxwink=300 usecallerid=yes callerid=asreceived ;cidsignalling=bell

My very first loop!! I failed. May I have some start-up aid?
Thank you for providing the example code... for the request of running it multiple times it would have helped if you could have confirmed that the example ran through without errors... there were a lot of mistakes in it. Look into using the reprex package to check your example next time. I don't do this kind of analysis... I really don't know what to expect from the functions. The

linebreaks in mathplot
Dear HelpeRs, I would like to do sg similar to: plot(c(0,100), c(0,100), xaxs="i", yaxs="i", type="n") txt <- paste("a =", a, "%\n b =", b, " km2", sep="") text(95, 95, txt, adj=c(1,1)) just with the "km2" formatted with 2 in a superscript. I thought txt <- substitute("a = "*a*" %\n b

Outbound Routing
Hello, I have a 4 port FXO digium card with 3 PSTNs attached to it and AsteriskAtHome setup. Everything is working fine except outbound calls. When I dial a outside number, it works fine, but when another employee trys to dial out while I am on a line, it will not go. I have a outgoing route setup in the AMP interface. Dial Pattern: 1NXXNXXXXXX NXXNXXXXXX NXXXXXX Trunk

Positioning text in top left corner of plot
Simple question how can you position text in the top left hand corner of a plot? I am plotting multiple plots using par(mfrow=c(2,3)) and all I want to do is label these plots a), b), c) etc. I have been fiddling around with both text and mtext but without much luck. text is fine but each plot has a different scale on the axis and so this makes it problematic. What is the best way to do this?

Variograms and large distances
Hello R list, I need to compute empirical variograms using data from a large geographic area (~10^6 km2). Although I could not find a specific reference, I assume that both geoR and gstat calculate distances among data points assuming points are on a flat surface (using the Pythagorean Theorem). Because the location of my data is large and located near the pole, assuming that latitude and

The following code properly selects the correct states, and the legend is properly color coded with ranges, but the colors per range does not match the state colors. I need help getting the state colors to match the ranges outlined in the legend. I have tried ordering the mean amounts and this correctly creates

xyplot second y-xis and legend
Dear list, I try to set a secondary y-axis in a lattice xyplot. This works. However, I am unable to set a proper legend/key together with the 2nd y-axis under general xyplot procedures. See example below. The combination of the par.settings with simpleTheme and other settings seems to go wrong. I couldn't find a solution from previous topics. Any suggestions? thanks in advance!
