Axis manipulation in Stackpoly (Plotrix)
Have made a stacked area plot, but now want to manipulate the x axis: make in even increments (50) in order to suppress the tick marks (forming solid bar under plot). However, the plot functions do not seem to work, and I cannot find documentation for use of xat in stackpoly. What I want to do is create a horizontal bar chart matrix for a set of data that have a common set of variables (e.g., % of As, % of Bs, etc.) listed on the Y-axis and groups (e.g., Classes) on the X-axis. I have found lots of good advice on this forum about stacked area charts but I?ve run into problems with the 2 recommended options: stackploy in plotrix or qplot in ggplot2. I have a many page report that will be in a 2x2 page format ?par(mfrow=c(2,2))?? and need one of the page components to be a stacked chart. Help boxplot to add mean, standard error and/or stadard deviation

problem tick marker and text
Hi R-ers, I am struggling with my x-axis in a association plot. What I would like is to place the labels of the x-axis between the tick markers and normally the labels are printed at the place where the tick marker is placed. I don???t want to move the tick marker (it gives the switch between one chromosome and the next) but I just want to put the chromosome number in between the

current.panel.limits() of lattice returning NaN limits - why?

How to get ``nn%'' in axis values
I would like to make the print format of the axis value labels appear as ``nn%'' instead of just the numbers. Is there a way to do this? Also, the x axis value labels on my horizontal barplot are rotated 90 degrees (perpendicular to the axis) no matter what I do. I tried las=1 but that didn't work. Is this doable? equivalent of Splus command axis(..., srt=45, adj=1) in R

Rotated text on a regression line

What I intended to do was to plot a simple regression line, and to rotate a piece of text such that the text has the same angle as the regression line. Hello, I recently switch over from Splus to R and I have not been able to generate right axis labels that face inwards. This is accomplished in Splus with the command srt=270 but this option is not supported in R. In addition the par argument las=0 or 3 does not rotate the right axis labels. question about "srt" argument in text() plotting function

Plotting separate populations in scatterplot3d
Hi, I'm having trouble plotting populations as separate colors and points in the 3d scatterplot package. I have a column with 4 different population names and 3 columns with my data. I want to plot each population with a different color and pch. In addition, I want to use the type="h" in my plotting so that I can see the points clearly in my graph( for publication purposes).
