Slicing cra**y csv files
Hello,
For not too regular users of R, preparing the data is somehow a burden.
Comming from iMacro in FireFox I get a badly designed csv, which I need to
put into a daily R script.
The data looks like that (e.g.):
22 Results,"35 Results","39 Results","2 Results","7 Results","23
Results","42 Results","36 Results","22

Using a variable for mysql/database Query
Hello,
Collecting data I need to check in a mysql server. As the data are dependent
on each other I have to filter first.
However, I have now the problem that I find a value and would like to insert
it into a data query for the "real select" command. Obviously, typing 'x'
does not help as the database does not now this entry. Anyway to make it
work?
I am using RMYQL
Thanks!

Not real confident in 3.3
I do not mean to be argumentative, but I have to admit a little
frustration with Gluster. I know an enormous emount of effort has gone
into this product, and I just can't believe that with all the effort
behind it and so many people using it, it could be so fragile.
So here goes. Perhaps someone here can point to the error of my ways. I
really want this to work because it would be ideal

rmysql query help
R HELP,
I am trying to use an R script to connect to a mysql database. I am
having a problem using a variable in the where clause that contains a
"space" in its value.
If I include the variable inside the quotes of the query - i think it is
searching for the name of the variable in the database and not the value
of the variable.
If I put it outside the quotes, then it complains

c4.4: OpenSSL Behavior: handshakes/ nrpe, snmpd, et al.
Hello list, johnny, karanbir, rodrigo, william, all,
Looks like some changes in 4.4 with openssl behavior I thought to ask
about now that things have quieted down slightly since release.
I use openssl with my nagios nrpe plugins, and now am getting a "could not
complete SSL handshake". I will of course post to nagios list but first
want to find out from centos side some key info re:

MySQL and RODBC - limitations
Hello,
By accident I fell over a problem, which just did not expected...
Via Windows ODBC (package RODBC) I download data from a MySQL 5.1 database.
The amount is so large that the working set memory is going up to around
400MB. Not too large, I think.
Anyhow, one column includes ten digit numbers. Somehow, not all of these
numbers are displayed correctly. At some point all numbers turn to

First Appearance of value in splitted matrix
Hello,
I have a large matrix (foo), I have to split by weeks and in which measures

Now I am looking for the number of the week, in which a specific value

foo has two columns: Date, ID
