Hi,
Actually, i use the function merge like this:

i have written this in R,

> data2 <- read.csv2("c:/GWPMax1.csv",sep=",")
> M <- merge(data1, data2, by.x = "Policy.Number", by.y = "Policy.Number")

create a table in the console!!
HI
I want to do a table with R (in the console)
GWP_Max NumberOfPolicies
No_GWPMax 8
[0-1000] 4
[1000-3000] 3
[> 3000] 5
i begin by calculate the number of policies in each class :
Data1 <- read.csv2("c:/Total1.csv", sep=",")
> Data2 <- read.csv2("c:/GWPMax1.csv",sep=",")[1:20,1:2]
> M <- merge(Data1,Data2, by.x =

Problem with the command "StrucTS" that fits a basic structural model for time series
Hi everybody,
I'am very interested with the basic structural model of time series. So I used the command "StructTS" but I failed to obtain a desirable output, in fact when I write in R Console the following lines:
> x=(1,2,3,4,5,2,25,14,12,13,11,6,9,24,12,13,14,12,12,14,11,12,14,15,20,21,22,23,21,25,28)
>(fit <- StructTS(x,type = "BSM"))
I obtained the following

Small issue with "submission host"
Hi everyone,
I'm facing a small issue with the lda/lmtp "submission_host" feature in
dovecot 2.0.14.
When sending mail to MTA (in case of sieve filter forwarding for
example), dovecot pass a RCPT TO command just after the EHLO. He's
missing the MAIL FROM command.
Therefore, my MTA show me a warning like this : "improper command
pipelining after EHLO".
How can i

regression analyses using a vector of means and a variance-covariance matrix
R 2.2.0
windows XP
How can I perform a regression analyses using a vector of means, a
variance-covariance matrix? I looked at the help screen for lm and did
not see any option for using the afore mentioned structures as input to
lm.
Thanks,

How to create a matrix with 3 dimensions from several 2 dimensional matrice?
Hi every one,
How is it possible to create a matrix with 3 dimensions from several 2
dimensional matrice?
Is it possible that each of "elementary/building block" matrices could be
called by its corresponding original name?
Thanks alot.

could we use ":" to represent multiple matrice in a list or sequential chracter names
Hi,
I know we can use 1:10 to represent the 1,2,3,...,10 numbers, but the
following conditions are except.
Anybody knows how to represent the following two cases with similar usage
of ":" or others? Usually, i will get several hundred names for them, such
as a1,a2,... or f[[1]],f[[2]],...
#Example data
a1<-array(1:12,c(2,3,2)); a2<-array(2,c(2,3,2)); a3<-array(0,c(2,3,2))

Multiple imputations : wicked dataset ? Wicked computers ? Am I cursed ? (or stupid ?)
Dear list,
I'd like to use multiple imputations to try and save a somewhat badly
mangled dataset (lousy data collection, worse than lousy monitoring, you
know that drill... especially when I am consulted for the first time
about one year *after* data collection).
My dataset has 231 observations of 53 variables, of which only a very
few has no missing data. Most variables have 5-10% of

Fwd: Possible memory problems with mallloc when called with .C()
Hello,
I'm trying to calculate a certain distance estimator for my thesis. I have a
program in C that works fine when I call it with .C() in R, but since
I'm dealing with big matrices like 30000x20000 it was getting a stack
overflow. Now I have the same program but more efficeintly coded using
malloc, and it works perfectlry in C, compiles well with R CMD SHLIB
but when I call it with
