I could not find an example or a help file that shows how this can be done. You post is one of few but it does not

accesing MySQL through JDBC
Hi all, Completely new to this list and completely new to R so, please, accept my apologies in advance if any question is too basic or out of place. Thanks. After reading some docs, googling around and searched the mail lists I've only found spare references to accessing databases. Among these references, few are related with JDBC and none of them include both MySQL and JDBC access. Our

Generic SingleTable inheritance
Hi all, I would like to discuss a design idea I have in mind with you, in order to get critical feedback. ActiveRecord supports single table inheritance(STI) "per se", BUT you must add all possible instance variables(properties) of all subclasses to the "base table"(as columns). I would like to circumvent this restriction. Say we have a class AbstractGenericThing <

"they" synonym for "it"?

Collaborative Wiki for fostering Open Innovation in R
I have found Apache JSPWiki solution, which might work and is open source: https://jspwiki.apache.org In addition, I will test xwiki, and give my insights about the tool on r-devel, as it might just be a resolutive tool for collaboration thanks to it's extensible architecture. domU only booting with extra = ''xencons=tty1''
Hi, I''m using Debian 5 (lenny) with Xen 3.2-1. When I try to start a Linux guest (installed with debootstrap like this <http://www.option-c.com/xwiki/Create_a_Debian_VM_with_debootstrap>), the VM hangs right after starting crond. This is exactly before the login prompt (which doesn''t come up). 1) In the internet, the solution is an /extra/ line in the configuration
