Scheduler Mechnisms!
Hello,
Normally, in addition to such qdisc scheduler mechanisms as FIFO, PQ, WRR, WFQ,
are there any more? Then, there is a confusion on scheduler in Linux enviroment:
Assume there is a qdisc, such as RED as a leaf qdisc in a router, we know, if
there is packet which want to enqueue the packet, the Function red_enqueue is
called, but when the packet leave the queue(when the Function red_dequeue

Generating a stochastic matrix with a specified second dominant eigenvalue
Hi,
Given a positive integer N, and a real number \lambda such that 0 < \lambda
< 1, I would like to generate an N by N stochastic matrix (a matrix with
all the rows summing to 1), such that it has the second largest eigenvalue
equal to \lambda (Note: the dominant eigenvalue of a stochastic matrix is
1).
I don't care what the other eigenvalues are. The second eigenvalue is

Classifying Intertwined Spirals
I'm using an SVM as I've seen a paper that reported extremely good
results. I'm not having such luck. I'm also interested in ideas for
other approaches to the problem that can also be applied to general
problems (no assuming that we're looking for spirals).
Here is my code:
library(mlbench)
library(e1071)
raw <- mlbench.spirals(194, 2)

FW: How to create a new package?
Hi,
I'm a group of functions and I would like to create a package for load in R.
I have created a directory named INE and a directory below that named R, for
the files of R functions. A have created the files DESCRIPTION and INDEX in
the INE directory. The installation from local zip files, in the R 2.3.0,
results but to load the package I get an error like:

model-based clustering
Hello,
I was wondering whether a Poisson mixture modeler/cluster analysis
package is available for R. I scanned CRAN packages and couldn't find
anything but I thought I'd ask. If not could anyone recommend a non-R
open source package. I have found 'snob' but this program seems a bit
hard to use in an automated, non interactive fashion.

Murad

Ubdate Samba 4 from 4.1.11 to 4.9.3
Hi,
Currently, we have at my job a Samba 4 AD DC with 2 DC are running over
Samba 4.1.11 version. I know both servers are out date. I want to update
this version to the latest version (4.9.3), but I'm not confident about the
process to do it. I've read on wiki.samba.org that is recommended read all
release notes to version x.x.0 and all release notes the latest version you

Then demote old DC

Question about certificates on Samba AD/DC
Thanks Gabben and Andrew. I've understood but a new question emerged: Each
DC server on my domain has a different pair cert/key and a different CA
cert after deployment, correct?
If so, is it a best practice to generate new cert for each DC server and
sign them with a unique CA? OBS: Every DC servers belongs to the same
domain.

PS1: In my environment, the host run only Samba (samba and bind) service.
I disagree about use python 3.6 instead python 3.4, though. In

Hi Rowland,
My domain is a Samba Domain originally. I don't have any Windows DC and
I've never had a Windows DC in this domain, only Windows members. My master

I've tried to update a secondary DC that had had offline. Then I have

Is possible use BIND9 as DNS Back End on a new Samba DC?
Hi everyone,
I have a question: is possible use BIND9 as DNS backend on a new Samba DC
that will join into a domain where there are Samba DCs are using Samba
Internal DNS server?
I know that is a trivial question for someone, but I've followed steps
described on wiki's topic "Joining a Samba DC to an Existing Active
Directory" and in "Preparing the Host for Joining the

Question about certificates on Samba AD/DC
Hi everyone,
I have a question about certificates generated on Samba AD/DC deployment.
After all server configuration, I notice that there are ca.pem, cert.pem
and key.pem on /usr/local/samba/private/tls directory. I realize the ca.pem
and cert.pem have 2 years validity. Will Samba AD/DC generate automatically
new certs before this time over? Or, must I have to generate them manually?
