[Fwd: problems installing rjags | tcltk]
Quick followup. Confirmed that TCl/Tk are both installed on the machine
(they are, in both 32- and 64-bit flavours), as are all tcl and
tk-related libs, devel packages, and about everything else I could find.
It occurred to me that perhaps the R I compiled isn't 'tcltk' aware. I
checked the config.log, and there is some hint that this might be the
case. Just before ## File

Mongrel on CentOS 4.3 / RHEL 4.3 64Bit
I tried to install Rails + Mongrel on CentOS4.3 64Bit (my provider only
has the 64 Bit version available).
I found out, that I have to install gcc and emacs-common and have to
copy the *.h files of the ruby source into a certain directory (see below).
But finally I get an error messag when I start mongrel and I have no
idea how to solve that problem:

Building R with Cairo
All-
I have been hacking on an R 2.15 build on an Ubuntu 10.4 box, and I do
not know how to debug R's error message regarding cairo "working".
Configuration completes without the expected additional capability (cairo)
R is now configured for x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu

Problem installing R-devel data 4 March 2016.
I am trying to install the latest development version of R so as to be
able to perform a package check according the rules specified for CRAN.
I performed the following steps:
(1) Downloaded R-devel.tar.gz, dated 04-Mar-2016 03:21, from CRAN
(2) Upacked.
(3) Created directory "BldDir" next to the directory "R-devel".
(4) Changed directories to BldDir.

Java client error on Windows 7 64 bit for Libvirt on KVM
Hi,
I need some help in building a Java client on Windows 7 64 bit plaftorm to manage a KVM using the libvirt APIs. Using the instructions at http://libvirt.org/java.html, i was able to build libvirt.jar. My understanding is that libvirt.jar uses JNA to call libvirt's native windows library. I tried using the libvirt dlls in the experimental Windows installation package mentioned in

Problem installing R-devel dated 4 March 2016.
Thanks Peter. I tried running the uninstalled R; it worked. I checked
on the existence of FAQ, etc. --- yep everything was there. I don't
know about over-zealous virus checkers; I haven't overtly installed any
such.
So, mystified, I started all over again from scratch. This time it
worked; seamlessly.
Totally mysterious. Story of my life. Be that as it were, all systems

installing several versions of R (2.14 and 2.12.2) on the same system on Ubuntu
Dear R users,
besides the current R 2.14 I would like to install a second version of R (2.12.2) on my Ubuntu system. The current version is easily installed as a precompiled package from Cran but I am heavily fighting with the older version. I tried to follow the instructions here:
http://cran.r-project.org/doc/manuals/R-admin.html
Unfortunately I got totally confused by all the different

I ran these commands as non-root:

mkdir -p, cp -R fails
Dear all,
I have problem with glusterfs 3.12.4
mkdir -p fails with "no data available" when umask is 0022, but works when umask is 0002.
Also recursive copy (cp -R or cp -r) fails with "no data available", independly of the umask.
See below for an example to reproduce the error. I already tried to change transport from rdma to tcp. (Changing the transport works, but
