R doesn't recognize utils functions, such as arrayIndex( )
Hi all,
When I called arrayIndex(20:23, dim=c(4,3,3)), it says "Error: could not
find function "arrayIndex"in R". So I called ls("package:utils") to see the
functions inside:

theora encoder reordering, order of puting data from DCT 8x8 blocks to huffman compressor, and puting result of huffman compressor to buffer bitstream memory
Good day!
I'm creating HDL IP CORE (for using in FPGA) for theora encoder (now only
I-frames).
I don't undestand one moment. Now i develop such stages:
1. From RBG(byer) to YCbCr converter
2. DCT processing (8x8 pixels blocks)
3. Quantizator of DCT coeff.
4. Zig-Zag of quantized DCT coeff.
and now i have uresolved last stage of compression - how i must send 8x8
blocks to huffman

hi have a question about merging.
this is the problem:
load this R data frame over the internet and save it to your hard drive.

Converting ddf/dct/sas data definition file to R
Dear all,
I was wondering whether anyone knows about a program which converts
(part of) a data definition file (such as a .dct file for stata, or
.sas file for sas) into an R-script.
Here is an example with a .sas file:

Why in the procedure oc_enc_block_transform_quantize() is used function oc_idct8x8()?

Image Processing packages
Hi,
I've been looking for Image Processing packages. Thresholding, Edge
Filters, Dct, Segmentation, Restoration. I'm aware, that Octave, Matlab
etc. would be a good address but then I'm missing the "statistical
power" of R. Does anybody know of packages, projects etc. Comments on
wether the use of R for such matters is useful are welcome.
Greetings

Dotmatrix Plots
Hi all,
Does anyone know what happened to the dna library or the dotmatrix
function? For the life of me, I can't find it anywhere with the
exception of this reference:
http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/dna/html/dotmatrix.html
Thanks!
Jeff.

Return invisible list
Hi, I'm new to R. I'm trying to do some extreme value theory analysis,
looking at the Mean Excess Plot of a series. These are the commands I type
to get the plot:
x=read.table("data.txt",header=T)
goa=(x[,3])
meplot(goa)
I can see the plot, but I would like to see the values of the x and y axis.

randomForest Tutorial
I am new to R and I'd like to use the randomForest package for my thesis
(identifying important variables for more detailed analysis with other
software). I have found extremely well written and helpful information on
the usage of R.
Unfortunately it seems to be very difficult to find similarly detailed
tutorials for randomForest, and I just can't get it work with the
information on

weighted cumulative distribution with ggplot2
Dear all,
I am trying to draw a weighted cumulative distribution (as defined
here http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/spatstat/html/ewcdf.html)
with ggplot2
however the syntax
temp<-qplot(X,weight=weight,data=data,stat = "ecdf", geom =
"step",colour=factor(year))
seems not to produce exactly the right figure (the values seems higher
at some points)... I am wrong in the

DCT in Theora
> I put debug code in a function in C,

> Why?
There is no function oc_enc_fdct8x8. It's a macro, which usually calls a
platform-specific version via _enc->opt_vtable.fdct8x8, though on some
platforms, it will call a specific version directly (e.g.,
oc_enc_fdct8x8_x86_64sse2 on x86-64). All of the functions with
platform-specific

kernlab::kkmeans initial centers
Hi,
I am trying to pass initial cluster assignments to the kkmeans
method<http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/kernlab/html/kkmeans.html>of
kernlab. It is not clear to me how I can set the parameter
*centers* with "initial cluster centers" as stated in the documentation?
thanks,

I am trying to conduct a bi-variate ripley's k using the k12hat function in
the splancs package (found here
http://rss.acs.unt.edu/Rdoc/library/splancs/html/k12hat.html). Although, I
receive an error when getting to the bboxx part of the code:

The following is what I tried:
