Xattrs and Delete over AFP
Hello group,
I have an OSX 10.3.9 Server that I'm trying to back up with rsync 3.0.2.
Since I didn't have any luck with the 10.3.9 patch and I do have 10.4 clients,
I decided to try running the backup over AFP (Apple's file sharing protocol).
I found a way to mount the AFP volume with root permissions and rsync 3.0.2
works very nicely using this on the 10.4 clients, preserving

Newbie's question
Hi guys,
I've brand new to the R scene.
I have hundreds of csv files that has field 1 ,YYYY/MM/DD as index
How to generate a graph of distribution and calculate the standard deviation
of field2 for all of the files in a directory?
I'm wondering if R could do this.
Thanks a lot.

Male and female signs as subscript in plot
Hello,
I'd like to add labels to my plot that include a male or female symbol as
subscript.
I'm working in Windows Vista and R 3.0.0.
I am able to add the male symbol to the plot as regular text (NOT as
subscript), e.g. with:
mtext("Male♂")
This displays the word "Male" followed by the male symbol on the plot.
But "♂" does not work when I try to

Windows OS, R and unicode
I'm trying to use the biological female and male signs in R2.5.1 under
Windows XP. I can access and insert these symbols using word-processors.
In general these should be available as ♀ and ♂ but I can't
make them happen in R using (say) text(5,5, "♀") message "invalid
\uxxxx sequence"
I've replaced Arial with Arial unicode MS in Rdevga and

call queue help
Guys I am having some serious issues with my call queue and Management
is breathing down my neck pretty bad, and I am running out of ideas.
I have a single queue for my tech support department. I originally was
using the AgentCallbackLogin for them and it tested out great on our
testing weekends, but it hasn't worked out since. It would only let one
of them take calls at a time, no matter

add data symbol to axis label
Readers,
Is it possible to add a data symbol (e.g. pch='21') to an axis label?
The objective is to plot a graph with two (2) y-axes and the plotting
character for data set 1 is added to the label of y1 axis (left); plot
character for data set 2 is added to label of y2 (right) axis.
Thanks.

[PATCH]: Exiting -1 if dhcp client failed
Hey,
I was scripting in klibc and wanted to make an action when the dhcp client
failed at grabing an IP after the defined timeout.
I found that klibc always exit 0 which isn't that convenient .
I wrote a stupid patch that solve this issue.
Cheers,
Erwan

Problems with conversation functions PAM + OpenSSH
Hello
sorry, for bothering you with this problem, but I ca't find solutions.
I write small PAM module, and I've got the problem with conversation
function with OpenSSH 3.5p1.
When the message style is PAM_PROMPT_ECHO_ON, or PAM_PROMPT_ECHO_OFF
everything is allright. But when I use PAM_TEXT_INFO, or PAM_ERROR_MSG,
ssh prints nothing on the client side. Does anyone know the reason of
