Finding non disjoint regular expressions
...manner that will also return overlapping (i.e. non disjoint) regular
expressions?
For instance, when running gregexpr("AAA","AAAAAA"), I get two matches, one
at position 1 and one at position 4. I'd like to receive 4 matches at
positions 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Thanks,

Merging rows in dataframes
...ried using the by() function. However, this was
extremely slow (it ran for more than two hours before I stopped it).
Also, it used up all of 16 GB of memory on my machine. Is there any
more efficient function, both in terms of time and memory, to do this
sort of thing?
Thank you very much,

Installing one channel GUI
...d indeed I
couldn't find any Bwidget and Tktable files; however, I don't know how to
get them and haven't been able to find them on the web; moreover, I'm not
sure how to set the path in R to recognize them.
I'd be very grateful for any help,

Obtaining Midas and splice index values in onechannelGUI
...why the program is searching the
"program files" directory; since R is installed in the C:\R-2.6.
In addition, when I try to run the splice index menu, the program just gets
stuck; and I eventually use ctrl+alt+del to stop R.
Again, I'd be grateful for any help.
Thanks,

Efficient calculation of partial correlations in R
Hello,
I'm looking for an efficient function for calculating partial correlations.
I'm currently using the pcor.test () function, which is equivalent to the
cor.test() function, and can receive only single vectors as input. I'm
looking for something which is equivalent to the cor() function, and can
receive matrixes as input (which should make the calculations much more
efficient).
