[Samba] Advisable to upgrade Samba4 Server from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04
Any reason to upgrade existing servers to 14.04 from 12.04? Best practices with Samba? -- -James

Best > practices with Samba?If you update an NT4-style domain controller: edit smb.conf to contain "server role = classic primary domain controller", and add "acl allow execute always = true", or set the x-bit on executable files (or all files). Also if you have xattr support in the filesystem, it is now possible and advisable to not do setfacl in Linux, instead set the permissions in Windows (scriptable with icacls).
