today lost some files (moving from samba share -> linux) :( after some searches on the net i found there is no lfs support for smbfs is there a reason for this ? and: is there a patch for 2.4.20 (i only found an old patch for 2.4.16)

Be sure to also apply the patch to the samba sources and recompile smbmount. The 2.2.3a patch applies to 2.2.7a okay.
