samba - Sep 2002 - Problem joing a W2KSP1 client to a Samba PDC (2.2.5).

Hi,

I'am running a small samba server at work with 10+ users in the domain (all
of them added with W2KSP1 and 2.2.3 or 2.2.4). I uppgraded to 2.2.5 a while
back and has not experienced any problem with it, but when I try to add a
newly installed W2KSP1 client to the domain I get the following entries in
the log file:

After I tried to add to the domain the smbpasswd file contains a line
starting with:

locky$:613:NO PASSWORDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:NO
PASSWORDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:[NDW        ]

Could someone please point me in a direction where I can start looking,
cause right now I don't have any idea what I should do.

Hi Tommy.

It's a ready to use patch.  You just execute it (double click) and
that's
it.  Windows knows its a registry edit file by the .reg extension.  It comes
with the RH package, under
/usr/share/doc/samba-2.2.5/docs/Registry/WinXP_SignOrSeal.reg.  I've
attached it just in case.
