I have been trying for over a week to configure samba to work with my NT network. I can see the Samba server on my Network Neighborhood but can not access it. At first I received a message "system error 53 network path not found" I have reconfigured my lmhosts file and now receive an error stating that "no service is operating at the destination network on the remote system" Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running Samba on a Linux 7.2 system. Keith Kasin www.selectdatasystems.com - web hosting and database services.
This sounds like progress. Are you sure you have put in the right address? Have you got a firewall set up keeping out the NT machine? Have you looked in your /var/log/messages on the linux box for any hints? Have you got you smb.conf keeping out some hosts/ipaddresses ? can you access your samba server from you linux box with: smbclient -L localhost Joel Can you get any connection with smbclient On Sat, Apr 27, 2002 at 07:40:51AM -0700, Keith wrote:> I have been trying for over a week to configure samba to work with my NT > network. Also add the user to the share in the smb.conf Check that you have installed all network protocols. Hope this helps, sorry for my bad english. Best regards, Roland
