samba - Feb 2002 - compile problems on netbsd with samba-latest & openldap-2.0.23

dear list,

i have problems when compiling openldap-2.0.23 and the latest samba 
version (2.2.3a) on netbsd (8500/180 powerpc).
Openldap compile procedure is running fine but when trying to compile 
samba --with-ldapsam I get just this message :

config.log :

configure:13019: gcc -o conftest -O  
-I/usr/local/openldap-2.0.23/include -L/usr/local/openldap-2.0.23/lib 
conftest.c -lldap -llber -lresolv  -lcrypt 1>&5
configure: failed program was:
#line 13015 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
#include "./tests/summary.c"

I also used netbsd's package mechanism but this also fails (edit 
Makefile and add CONFIGURE_ARGS+=--with-ldapsam).

./configure script says --with-ldapsam=yes but afterwards it is stopping.

checking configure summary
configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config
*** Error code 1
Stop.
*** Error code 1
Stop.


I saw in one mailing list that there were people who had the same

Strange because openldap-2.0.19 & samba-2.2.3a is running fine on a 
debian 2.2.r3 machine (kernel-2.4.16) ?!

Can someone help me out ?

What am I doing wrong ?

IIRC this is because the test is trying to link with -lresolv.
It's a bug in 2.2.3a.
