Hi, Samba 2.2.3a release notes say that utmp is fixed in this version. But doesn't seem to be working with me. I have few of my shares enables with this option and 'utmp directory' is set globally. Am I missing something here ? or this still remains a bug ? regards Amit ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Amit Deshmukh Graduate Student (EECS) University of Toledo. hi, Samba 2.2.3a version doesn't have the utmp parameters (utmp hostname, utmp consolidate etc.) as it used to have in earlier versions. Currently with 2.2.3a and 'utmp = true', samba updates utmp with IP addresses as opposed to hostnames in earlier versions. Is there any way to make samba update utmp with hostnames ? (earlier this could be done with 'utmp hostname = %m or %M' thanks regards Amit ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Amit Deshmukh Graduate Student (EECS) University of Toledo.
