Hullo All I hjave a problem with SaMBa 2.2.1a with HP/UX 11.00. It seems to work fine, but after a couple hours users received a message in Windows (all 95) like that ... "There were no servers to log you into", or something like that (Win95 Brazilian Portuguese). It seems like it can't find the domain master server... Below is my smb.conf... Hi Demerson, Can you take a look in your logs, and see if you are getting any messages regarding tdb corruption or failures; This sort of thing (where there are no more connections left) has been known to happen on HP-UX with 2.2.1a, even with the HAVE_MMAP functionality disabled, due to a tdb problem that was discovered and fixed in the latest 2.2.2 CVS branch. grep your smb logs for 'tdb' and 'fail' and 'corrupt, and 'magic' and see if you don't come up with something. If you do, I think your troubles will be solved when 2.2.2 releases in the next week or so (hopefully). Hope this helps, Don -----Original Message----- From: Info - Demerson [mailto:demerson@zaffari.com.br] Sent: Friday, October 05, 2001 9:01 AM To: samba@lists.samba.org Subject: SaMBa 2.2.1a in HP/UX 11.00 Hullo All I hjave a problem with SaMBa 2.2.1a with HP/UX 11.00. Hi Demerson, you will need to pull the latest CVS, or if you can wait, the release of 2.2.2 is comming up, and the problem is fixed in that release. You can do that, but it's not a good solution, since file locking info, cached data that clients are working on, etc will be lost when you stop and restart samba. If you feel comfortable in a development environment (building/compiling/etc), you could pick up a tarball of the latest CVS 2.2 SAMBA branch at: ftp://ftp.samba.org/pub/unpacked/tarballs/ and build the product yourself... -----Original Message----- From: Info - Demerson [mailto:demerson@zaffari.com.br] Sent: Friday, October 05, 2001 9:54 AM To: 'MCCALL,DON (HP-USA,ex1)'; Info - Demerson; samba@lists.samba.org Subject: RES: SaMBa 2.2.1a in HP/UX 11.00 So I have to wait for 2.2.2...
