samba - Dec 1999 - Compiling error with version 2.0.6

Hello,

When I compile Samba version 2.0.6 in Solaris Sparc 2.6 with gcc 2.8.1, I obtain
the next error:

make: Fatal error in reader: Makefile, line 303: Unexpected command seen

why?

Note: I use the file Makefile by default.

try using 'gmake' instead.

With GNU make version 3.76.1 compiled under Solaris 2.6 Intel, I obtain the next
error:

serveur> /usr/local/bin/make 
Makefile:304: *** multiple target patterns.  Stop.
