-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, First, here's my uname -mnrsp Linux ollin.ucdavis.edu 2.2.12-20 i686 unknown I'm adding my machine to my NT domain. I've successfully added it to the domain: smbpasswd -j DOM -r PDC 1999/12/06 23:25:09 : change_trust_account_password: Changed password for domain DOM. Now, SWAT seems to have destroyed my /etc/smb.conf in a peculiar fashion. Editing smb.conf directly, my contents are: [temp] comment = Temp file share browseable = yes public = yes guest only = no writable = no only user = no SWAT, however, shows the same on Normal View, but in Full View displays global parameters, etc, some of which I'd like to change so I can complete this exercise. However, there aren't any fields I can use to edit in SWAT... The account I'm accessing SWAT with (not root) does have samba admin privs defined in linuxconf. I didn't see this mentioned in the FAQs, and I'm currently browsing the on-line version of the O'Reilly book. Hopefully, this is a really short answer concerning something I overlooked. - -- **************** * Adam Getchell * acgetchell@ucdavis.edu **************** "Invincibility is in oneself, vulnerability in the opponent." -- Sun Tzu -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5.2 iQA/AwUBOE1bU0pJObkD8YxXEQLnGwCeOnR3jH6dOgYlgXv0So3otcHUqTQAoOEk PKtMqaaud4bRrFpKEj+ZMZQV =L9Cl -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
