I have a problem with the new Version of SAMBA 2.0.3 on AIX 4.1.
Nobody other then root get access to the shares.
Whether with Windows NT nor with smbclient on Linux.
The password seems to be wrong, but it isn?t true.
When I copy back the the binaries from SAMBA 2.0.2 without
changing anything on the smb.conf all works fine again!!!
In the log-File of samba the following occures:
[1999/03/05 10:28:18, 0] smbd/uid.c:become_uid(72)
Could be your OS doesn't like high uid values - try using a different
account
[1999/03/05 10:28:18, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(425)
Can't become connected user!
My smb.conf - file:
# Samba config file created using SWAT
# from andersen.edv.dpd.de (10.1.32.30)
# Date: 1999/03/05 10:15:30
