Hello, I've tried to compile NIS+ support on Solaris 2.5.1 and I get this error (samba-2.0.3): ################################################################# Compiling passdb/nispass.c "passdb/nispass.c", line 387: syntax error before or at: "Memory allocation failure in add_nisp21pwd_entry()\n" "passdb/nispass.c", line 391: warning: argument #2 is incompatible with prototype: prototype: pointer to char : "include/proto.h", line 1246 argument : pointer to uchar "passdb/nispass.c", line 392: warning: argument #2 is incompatible with prototype: prototype: pointer to char : "include/proto.h", line 1246 argument : pointer to uchar "passdb/nispass.c", line 429: warning: argument #3 is incompatible with prototype: prototype: pointer to char : "passdb/nispass.c", line 273 argument : pointer to uchar "passdb/nispass.c", line 454: cannot recover from previous errors cc: acomp failed for passdb/nispass.c make: *** [passdb/nispass.o] Error 2 ################################################################# I configured with: --prefix=/usr/prg2/divers/samba-2.0.3 --with-nisplus-home --with-nisplus If I don't compile with the NIS+ stuff it compiles without a hitch. Is the NIS+ stuff still experimental and unuseable? I can seem to find documentation on it anywhere on the samba site. There are references to it in the mailists...but not enough information to work from. BTW, I have no problems compiling NIS+ support in 2.0.0. Thanks, Luc. PS Please also reply to: luc_lalonde@videotron.ca PPS Would anyone have a 2.0.2 floating around? Can't seem to find it on ftp.samba.org
