Lustre discuss - Oct 2006 - tasklist_lock in libcfs: can't load on 2.6.18

Hi all,

I''ve built lustre 1.5.95 on 2.6.18 with all the patches and suggestions
from the list
(that I can find); it builds but no longer loads on 2.6.18 due to an API
change:
libcfs uses tasklist_lock, which is no longer exported.

I''m trying to do ''patchless clients'', so any
suggestions as to what to
do, other
than patch the kernel to re-export tasklist_lock?

Hi Alastair:

Try disabling the function lcw_dump in the lustre tree: you won''t get
as
much
info if a watchdog fires but as far as I can tell it''s the only
consumer
of
tasklist_lock.
