Lustre discuss - Oct 2006 - Lustre-1.4.7.1/MPICH-1.2.7p1

Dear all,

Ive just built lustre 1.4.7.1 in a cluster using the source code. I can see 
that there is a patch for mpich 1.2.6. I will be building mpich 1.2.7p1. My 
question is do I need this patch for mpich 1.2.7p1? and can the same patch 
be applied?

The mpich patch is user-supplied, so I''m not sure if there are updates
needed
for mpich-1.2.7.  I suspect the patch will work.  It is basically the UFS
ADIO layer, with some lustre-specific tweaks for using the MPIIO hints at
create time to set up Lustre striping.

Thanks Andreas, unfortunately I could not apply the patch to mpich-1.2.7p1. 
The patch for the configure, makefile.... were rejected. Anyhow, I will just 
use the default ufs.
