The interface you point to is *only* for legacy formats that do not support metadata themself (namely: MP3, and AAC). As Ogg/Opus, and Matroska/Opus both support metadata there is no need for workarounds. (Same for native FLAC, Ogg/FLAC, and Matroska/FLAC.)
