samba - Jan 2026 - Question RE upgrading Linux domain member

Hello Luis, this sounds like a plan, wht do you mean by "with the same
IDMAP as the original"? How do I achieve this?

I would have thought this was fairly obvious, whatever smb.conf is used
on the old Linux domain member should be used on the new one, just run
testparm on it on the new domain member, in case you have any removed
parameters. If unsure, just post it here.
