Icecast - Dec 2024 - chromecast

Hi,

Will icecast stream to chromecast normaly? I have several onkyo amplifiers with
chromecast build in which no accepting the stream.
Also tunein on a telephone will not stream to a chromecast device saying the
stream is not compatible

What's the format of the stream?

I remember years ago finding that I couldn't stream a 192 kbps MP3 stream 
to a Chromecast Audio device, getting the same error with TuneIn.
