[Samba] Linux desktop setup with authentication against Samba AD DC

ItAll this can be placed on wiki, sometking like this page: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Joining_a_Windows_Client_or_Server_to_a_Domain but for linux? Seems complete, to me, apart pam_group (and sudo and PolicyKit for administrators) to manage local group for domain users. --

I have no experience with very extensive systems, but I guess some kind of toolbox for administration would be mandatory for larger roll outs. In that case, I assume each organization would implement it according to their requirements, not necessarily adopting what is suggested. I'm going to replace 15 old terminals with this setup, and I'm sure I will manage that, without adding more complexity. About a Wiki, I have no experience with Wiki pages, and would probably mess things up, so I'll leave it for now. Also too much work at the moment. Best regards, Peter

There would have to be a wiki page for every distro, so it is probably better if every distro creates their own instructions. Rowland
