samba - Nov 2023 - samba-tool dns zoneoptions --mark-old-records-static

Hello,

I'm trying to use this command to convert my old servers dns records to
static but I'm running into a few problems:

The following command does not work :

*samba-tool dns zoneoptions
--mark-old-records-static="2021-03-30"Usage:
samba-tool dns zoneoptions <server> <zone> [options]*

I also try this :









*samba-tool dns zoneoptions server1 example.com <http://example.com>
--mark-old-records-static=2021-03-30ERROR(ldb): uncaught exception - LDAP
error 32 LDAP_NO_SUCH_OBJECT -  <acl_read: Error retrieving instanceType
for base. at ../../source4/dsdb/samdb/ldb_modules/acl_read.c:967> <>

Hello,

I do it like this:

samba-tool dns zoneoptions dc_name domain_name
--mark-records-static-regex='machine-name' -U Administrator

Is 'server1' one of your DCs and is 'example.com' a valid
forward zone ?
