I am attempting to use the new method of gathering "metrics" from "events" - but the details in the documentation are a bit thin. I started with the examples provided at https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Statistics and tried to build from there with only moderate success. What I am trying to achieve is the monitoring of login attempts (with successes and failures as separate modules - as well as aborted attempts), user sessions an bytes transferred. All this for multiple virtual domains and users. I have attached my current /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-stats.conf so people can see what I have attempted so far.
