llvm dev - May 2010 - [LLVMdev] Is it possible to step through LLVM IR with GDB?

Is it possible to compile LLVM source in such a way that it's possible 
to step through it with GDB (and hopefully frontends like DDD as well)?

Sorry, I should have been more clear.  I want to step through the LLVM 
IR of programs compiled with llc.

You would need to have debug info that refers to a .ll file instead of a .c
file. That should be entirely possible, but nobody has written the code to
generate such debug info yet.
