[LLVMdev] Where are those complex aliase analysis passes like steens-aa now?
hi, The llvm alias analysis doc mentioned that llvm have various alias analysis passes, e.g. steens-aa; but I can't find it in llvm 2.0. Are these passes obsoleted? Thanks. -Wei Jiang -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/attachments/20070321/5cb1f1ca/attachment.html>

The latter two are in the lib/Analysis/IPA directory. The ds-aa and steens-aa passes are all available in the llvm- poolalloc project, in lib/DSA. They were moved there because Microsoft holds a patent on parts of the underlying pointer analysis strategy. anders-aa is still in mainline llvm. --Vikram http://www.cs.uiuc.edu/~vadve http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/ On Mar 21, 2007, at 4:07 PM, Reid Spencer wrote:> On Wed, 2007-03-21 at 13:29 -0700, Wei Jiang wrote: >> hi, >> The llvm alias analysis doc mentioned that llvm have various >> alias >> analysis passes, e.g. steens-aa; but I can't find it in llvm 2.0.
