Intermittent <MRxSMB; W50:> "Delayed Write Failed" when writing to Office 2007's "Recent Files" index.dat on a network share
We're in the process of upgrading our WinXP SP3 users to Office 2007 on a network where %APPDATA% is on a Samba 3.2.5 network share, and our testing users are getting dialogged approximately once a day with the message "Delayed Write Failed : Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \windows\settings\appdata\Microsoft\Office\Recent\index.dat". That's both annoying and

Symbian/S60 encoding failures when building -O2/-O1 optimization and FIXED_POINT
Hello - We are building Speex 1.2rc1 on Symbian/S60 using the GNU csl-arm-2005Q1C tool chain provided in the S60 SDK. We build with the supplied config.h and define FIXED_POINT to 1. We found that the encoded audio is "garbled" when we build with GCC -O1 or -O2 optimization level with fixed point enabled. But if fixed point is enabled and no GCC optimization level is specified,

Speex on Nokia Symbian S60 phones
Is speex at this stage a good codec to use for real-time voice transmission over a direct CSD connection between two phones? Does anyone have any experience with using Speex on Nokia phones? If speex is not a good solution for this task, what would you recommend? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Analysing insecticide biossays using lmer
Hi all, Here is my problem: I performed bioassays using a unique insecticide on 9 different genotypes and got their mortality depending on the dose of insecticide used. Now, I want to see wether some genotypes are different or not in their responses to insecticide. My problem is that I have up to four replicates for some genotypes, but only one for other... Due to this unbalanced design, I

Speex on Nokia Symbian S60 phones
It would be very nice to know about some good success without too much cpu issues on Nokia devices, i tried pjsip.org project on S60 FP1 E65 +200mhz ARM cpu with speex but don't had much luck in using it without having 100% cpu usage :( Please let us to know about your testing E65 CPU: http://www.nokia-tuning.net/index.php?s=processor Fabio Pietrosanti Jordan Dimov wrote: > Thank

Speex on Nokia Symbian S60 phones
Quoting "Fabio Pietrosanti (naif)" <lists at infosecurity.ch>: > Speex it's too cpu expensive for general S60 usage, it would require a > lot of ASM optimization. Did a quick search and saw ARM CPUs with speeds above 100 MHz. That should actually be enough for Speex, at least for narrowband. > If you are using CSD, like for a secure telephony solution >

Friday 12 Noon EDT: Media5fone Mobile SIP Client Symbian S60 & iPhone
Hi, If I was going to post this as an iPhone-only SIP client, I'd expect loud booing and hissing, but Media5 mobile SIP client is available for the Symbian S60 platform, too, or will be shortly. Interested? To join us and hear about Media5 form Pascal Dore, see http://vuc.me Speaking of mobile, if any of you know the people who are developing the SIP client for Android, we'd love to

Speex on Nokia Symbian S60 phones
Thank you, guys. Most smartphones in production today run at ~300MHz and above. So this shouldn't be a problem. I'll try to compile speex for Symbian (I see it's been ported, but the Symbian port is somewhat out of date?) and I'll run it on a pair of Nokia N76 phones. I'll let you know how it works out. If someone has any further advice in this direction, I would deeply

Theora player for Nokia Series 60
I've made a start writing a Theora player for Series 60 phones (mostly Nokia phones, but some Samsung and Sony Ericsson ones too). Download here: http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/OgvPlay/OgvPlay_010.zip I've been using Big Buck Bunny, Elephants Dream and a few other ogv files for testing. I've uploaded 320x180 versions of those here:

Packages for Animal Models & QG analyses
Hi, I am looking to do some quantitative genetic analyses using animal models and was wondering if someone could suggest an appropriate package in R. It would help if it was similar to the ASReml genetic analyses software. [LLVMdev] Alias Analyses
Which alias analysis algorithms in opt are worth comparing against (for terms of precision)? I know --anders-aa seems to give me pretty good results. Online [1] it seemed to mention steensgaard's algorithm and some kind of data structure analysis, but neither of these are currently accepted by opt. Is there some way to get them, or are they subsumed by the results of --anders-aa? Thanks,

[LLVMdev] Chaining analyses from an analysis group
Hello, Two questions regarding analysis groups that ``chain'' their results, like AliasAnalysis. (1) I have an analysis group, let's call it Provider. I also have two implementations of it: ProviderA and ProviderB. The "writing a pass" document suggests using: au.addRequiredTransitive< Provider >(); Within the getAnalysisUsage() method of both ProviderA and

Ideas for remote collaboration on statistical analyses
I plan to use Sweave for most of the statistical reports I write for general statistical consulting projects. I would like to also have a way to collaborate with remote clients using a phone and a web server. This might involve a more incremental output process than Sweave uses. One could, for example, use a Wiki like that from twiki.org to upload pieces of an analysis as it proceeds, having
