plot several histograms with same y-axes scaling using hist()
Dear all Problem: hist()-function, scale = ?percent? I want to generate histograms for changing underlying data. In order to make them comparable, I want to fix the y-axis (vertical-axis) to, e.g., 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% as well as to fix the spaces, too. So the y-axis in each histogram should be identical. Currently, I have 100 histograms and the y-axis scales changes in each. Here is my code:

How to change labels in a histogram
Hi everyone I am trying to add a percent sign to my labels in a hist() plot. "labels = TRUE" gives me the values, but I don't know how to add the percent sign. I would prefer to annote the plot after drawing it, e.g. using text(), but don't know how to address the positions in a standard histogram. A lattice approach would work too. Understanding R Hist() Results...

basic hist() question
Hi list I loaded the content of a file dureetasks.txt to variable a. Hi! I have a dataset that looks like this: 0.0 14 0.0 3 0.9 12 0.73 15 0.78 2 1.0 15 0.3 2 0.32 8 ...and so on. Strange graphical pattern when using hist() function
Running the following lines I got a strange plot from hist function: x<-0:30 hist(x,breaks=31) As you can see, the 0 value appears two times in the plot. The Y axis only presents 1 as the highest value when: hist(x,breaks=62) Nevertheless, it seems to have two bars between 0 and 1. Could someone please explain to me why it is happening?
