R looping help
Hey I'm not really sure what I should put on here, but I am having trouble with my R code. I am trying to get the p-values, R^2s etc for a number of different groups of variables that are all in one dataset. This is the code: #Stand counter st<-1 #Collections stands<-numeric(67) slopes<-numeric(67) intercepts<-numeric(67) mses<-numeric(67) rsquares<-numeric(67)

significance levels for partial correlations?
I've seen that this question has been asked before, in the archives, but I haven't been able to find a workable answer. This may be a failure to understand the statistics! The problem is that, while I can easily get partial correlation values out of corpcor, how do I get significance values? Surely the significance of a partial correlation between two variables isn't the

rbind ing matrices and resetting column numbers
Sorry for the verbose example. I want to row bind two matrices, and all works except I want the column labelled "row" to be sequential in the new matrix, shown as "mat3" here, i.e. needs to be 1:6 and not 1:3 repeated twice. Any suggestions? Thanks J > colnm1 <- c("row","ti","counti") > colnm2 <-

Question about -b mode of sftp(1) and auto-chdir behaviour
Hello, i'm curious to know wether the automatic chdir behaviour of sftp(1) in batch mode is a side-effect of the current implementation, or if it's instead a regular feature. And, if it's indeed the latter, wether there is any compatibility problem if one would actually rely on it? I'll attach a copy+paste diff to document this nice feature in sftp.1, just for the hoped-for case.

The problem is, that for sure on the domain controller this account is set with no password

Win2k: Could not find network path
Hi there I have a LAN with a Linux and a Win2k Computer, using DHCP to connect via Cablemodem to the Internet. So, we don't have fix (private-) ip's. We receive them via the DHCP-Server when starting up the Computers. Now i've setted up samba on my linux (Suse 8.0) computer to share some files (Via NetBIOS on Win, i think). With my current configuration i can see all my shares
