Winlink Airmail Help
Hello All. I was running Winlink Airmail fine for several months. Somewhere between up grading Wine and Xubuntu I lost the ability to see what I was typing when writing a new e-mail. The text is there but it cannot be seen. If I miss spell and use the spell checker it will appear. When the spell checker is finished the printing disappears again. This is a built-in spell checker in Airmail.

Civ4 on Ubuntu doesn't work anymore after upgrade
Hi. I upgraded my Ubuntu installation to 10.04 this morning and now I can't make Civ4 work anymore (Beyond the Sword, patched 3.19, with last BUG mod). The application starts OK, but when I click "New Game", it crashes with this console message : wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x18868000 at address 0x7c3428fa (thread 0009), starting debugger... Region subtag in package 'Language' field
I am looking for the appropriate field to let package authors to declare the pkg documentation language for spell checkers. The most important case is to specify a preference between "en-US" or "en-GB" which can be used by the hunspell or spelling pkg to select the appropriate dictionary. WRE defines the "Language" field for documentation language, but from the

Civ 4 patch help?
Hello. I'm following the instructions on how to install Civ 4 on my Ubuntu system. I've had it working perfectly in the past, but this time I come to a stop every time I try to patch to 1.74. The patch installer doesn't recognise that I have an existing installation of Civ on my system. Sorry to be a pain in the arse, but I can't remember if this happened before and if it did how

Assistance with an encoding plugin
Hi, I'm working on writing a FLAC encoding plugin for a personal cd ripping project of mine which uses paranoia for the raw audio extraction. My basic setup which follows gets me oddly high pitched audio with lots of noise (although the music IS somewhat recognizable). #include <FLAC/stream_encoder.h> FLAC__StreamEncoder *encoder; FILE *output_file_descriptor; encoder =

BadOption failures "annoying"
Hi, some question about the configuration behaviour of openssh.. sshd.8 -f configuration_file Specifies the name of the configuration file. The default is /etc/sshd_config. sshd refuses to start if there is no configura- tion file. While servconf.c has the routine fill_default_server_options(ServerOptions *options) which sets valid/common options by

Multipathing with Sun 7310
Dear list, we have a relatively new Sun Storage 7310, where we connect CentOS 5.5 Servers (IBM LS21/LS41 Blades) via Brocade Switches, 4GBit FC. The Blades boot from SAN via qla2xxx, and have no harddisks at all. We want them to use multipathing from the very beginning, so /boot and / are already seen by multipathd. Problem is, that the Sun 7310 has two storage heads which run in

Improving R Editing: New JEdit Edit Mode for R
Hi all, I have created a new edit mode file for the editor JEdit (http://www.jedit.org) based on the file from Zed Shaw. The difference between his and my file is that mine can be used as a spell checker. It does not highlight all functions but provides syntax highlighting for the base package (keyword types 1 and 2) and 26 additional packages (boot, class, cluster, ctest, eda, foreign, grid,

[cfe-dev] [GSOC 2018] Information gathering
Hey, welcome! I'm curious about the unsequenced modification checker, is it something that I should have seen but missed for whatever reason? It might be useful, and I think I'm seeing why don't compiler warnings cover all cases, i.e. why the analyzer's path sensitivity would help here. But I can't answer until I see it :) -eg. on our Phabricator. We are currently having

formatting data to be analysed using multinomial logistic regression (nnet)
I am looking into using the multinomial logistic regression option in the nnet library and have two questions about formatting the data. 1. Can data be analysed in the following format or does it need to be transformed into count data, such as the housing data in MASS? Agent spell checker behavior
Howdy, I've got an interesting behavior change in Agent in Wine as compared to Agent in Windows. (And it doesn't have to do with the Clipboard ;-) When I spell check an email in Agent(Windows), and I get a word not found, I get a window that shows the not found word with a highlighted suggested correction. When I spell check an email in Agent(Wine) the same thing happens except the

Civ 4 time victory in 2 minutes

Does CentOS support aspell?
I haven't run CentOS on a machine of my own for several years; but my domain (NOT the address I post from) is hosted on a machine running CentOS. The list for the mailer I run recommends using aspell, which is not installed (according to rpm -q) on the remote host, as a spellchecker. Does anybody here know offhand if CentOS supports it? Or how do I check? -- Beartooth Staffwright, Not

Compiling Xen-tools
Hi All, I am adding the patch mentioned here http://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-changelog/2013-02/msg00235.html I am getting errors on compiling Xen tools. My /tools/include/xen-foreign/mkheader.py looks different from the one that is mentioned in the above link, which I feel is due to version difference. I am using Xen 4.3.3 version. My understanding is that due to this version difference I

[GSOC 2018] Information gathering
Hello, I'm Paul Semel, a French student in computer science. I am currently in my 4th year (1st year of graduate school) at EPITA and enrolled in the system and security laboratory of the school. I would be very interested in working on a LLVM project during this GSoC. Implementing a PoC for an unsequenced modification checker in CSA helped me discover LLVM. However, I would like to
