a small problem with data
Hello, I have a strange problem. I may have specified and scanned the data set (I receive a message: Read 384134 items). I can check the dimension of the data set by dim(xyz). But when I try to load the data set or to list the data set by data(xyz), then I receive an error message saying that data set not found in: data(xyz). Is this possible, or is this because I deal with a large data set

data manipulation
Hello, my question is about the data handling. I have a data set that is lined as: 4 1 17 1 1 -5.1536 -0.1668 -2.3412 -0.5062 0.9621 0.3640 0.3678 -0.5081 -0.2227 0.8142 -0.0389 -0.0445 -0.0578 -0.1175 -0.1232 0.8673 -0.1033 -0.0796 -0.0341 -0.1716 -0.1801 -0.7014 0.6578 0.5611 4 1 17 2 1 -5.1536 -0.1668 -2.3412 -0.5062 0.9621 0.3640 0.3678 -0.5081 -0.2227 0.8142 -0.0389 -0.0445

Has anyone here considered using repo for the Git migration?
https://source.android.com/source/using-repo It plays well with large projects (heck, it was designed for Android), and it works really well. I'm guessing you guys have already considered it and rejecting it for some really smart reason, but I wanted to make sure! ;) -- Ryan (ライアン) Yoko Shimomura > ryo (supercell/EGOIST) > Hiroyuki Sawano >> everyone else http://refi64.com/

index matter
Hi, I have a question about the following explanation; IndexFiles.txt ------------------------------------------------------ If index files are missing, Dovecot creates them automatically when the mailbox is opened. ------------------------------------------------------ Are they made based on which information? Thanks. Yoko -------------------------------------- Enjoy MLB with MAJOR.JP!

SSD ZIL/L2ARC partitioning
Hi, I''ve ordered a new server with: - 4x600GB Toshiba 10K SAS2 Disks - 2x100GB OCZ DENEVA 2R SYNC eMLC SATA (no expander so I hope no SAS/ SATA problems). Specs: http://www.oczenterprise.com/ssd-products/deneva-2-r-sata-6g-2.5-emlc.html I want to use the 2 OCZ SSDs as mirrored intent log devices, but as the intent log needs quite a small amount of the disks (10GB?), I was wondering

centos6.2, parted and alignment
I have a large raid (lsi megaraid sas2 9261-8i card) and when I use parted to initialize it as the one big partition I want, it gives me a warning. # parted /dev/sda "mklabel gpt" Warning: The existing disk label on /dev/sda will be destroyed and all data on this disk will be lost. Do you want to continue? Yes/No? yes # parted -a optimal /dev/sda

RAID card selection - JBOD mode / Linux RAID
I don't think this is off topic since I want to use JBOD mode so that Linux can do the RAID. I'm going to hopefully run this in CentOS 5 and Ubuntu 12.04 on a Sunfire x2250 Hard to get answers I can trust out of vendors :-) I have a Sun RAID card which I am pretty sure is LSI OEM. It is a 3G/s SAS1 with 2 external connectors like the one on the right here :

Disk failure chokes all the disks attached to the failing disk HBA
Dear All, It may be this not the correct mailing list, but I''m having a ZFS issue when a disk is failing. The system is a supermicro motherboard X8DTH-6F in a 4U chassis (SC847E1-R1400LPB) and an external SAS2 JBOD (SC847E16-RJBOD1). It makes a system with a total of 4 backplanes (2x SAS + 2x SAS2) each of them connected to a 4 different HBA (2x LSI 3081E-R (1068 chip) + 2x LSI

OCZ Vertex3 SSD and LSI 9211-8i (mpt2sas)
I have a couple development servers running centos 6.3 64bit that have LSI 9211-8i SAS2 controllers connected to a SAS2 backplane. these work fine with SATA hard disks (populated with a bunch of 3TB SATA drives)... I'm trying to install a OCZ Vertex3 SSD on each of the two servers to do some ssd caching tests... system sees the drive, so I do the following... # parted -a min

Help Need with aov()
Hi there, I'm using R1.0.1 Windows 98. This file contains some inputs and an aov function code. Can someone check it for me? Somehow I got completely different answer when typing them in R and in Splus. Splus gives me this: > summary( Turnip.aov ) Error: Blocks Df Sum of Sq Mean Sq F Value Pr(F) Residuals 3 163.7367 54.57891 Error: Plots %in% Blocks

CentOS 8 Installation Not Recognizing Local Disk
I have an older Dell PowerEdge server with one hard drive, with CentOS 7 currently installed. I wanted to do a clean install of CentOS 8, but it doesn't pick up the hard drive. When I click on the destination to pick the hard drive it only shows the USB drive that I'm installing from. I checked for a RAID configuration on the server, but there is only one disk, and no RAID is configured.

How to compute hazard function using coxph.object
My question is, how to compute hazard function(H(t)) after building the coxph model. I even aware of the terminology that differs from hazard function(H(t)) and the hazard rate(h(t)). Here onward I wish to calculate both. Here what I have done in two different methods; ##########################################################################################

Substituting a user-defined function for a standard function in graphics
Dear R-help readers, I'm trying to substitute my own version of plot.default, in order to capture low-level graphics input for further manipulation. I seem to be having difficulties getting the versions of functions that I intend to use called at the right places. Specifically, I have an object produced by survfit from the survival package, and I want to save the values that

Survival-Analysis: How to get numerical values from survfit (and not just a plot)?
Hi! I came across R just a few days ago since I was looking for a toolbox for cox-regression. I?ve read "Cox Proportional-Hazards Regression for Survival Data Appendix to An R and S-PLUS Companion to Applied Regression" from John Fox. As described therein plotting survival-functions works well (plot(survfit(model))). But I?d like to do some manipulation with the survival-functions

how to code the censor variable for "survfit"
Dear r-helpers, This is my first time to run survival analysis. Currently, I have a data set which contains two variables, the variable of time to event (or time to censoring) and the variable of censor indicator. For the indicator variable, it was coded as 0 and 1. 0 represents right censor, 1 means event of interest. Now I try to use "survfit" in the package of "survival". I
