R 1.6.1: help with debugging error in RunGenCollect(), R_gc_internal
Hi, [System info: R 1.6.1 compiled from source (no args to configure) on Redhat 7.1 Linux i/386] I have some spatial statistics programs that recently (since R 1.6.1) have generated SIGSEGV. These R programs use the splancs library as well as some C code of my own for Voronoi analysis. The program has a big loop to fit various model parameters against a spatial distribution of biological

is win.print() broken or am I doing something wrong?
I am trying to print a graph > plot(y=atestplot$b,x=atestplot$a, type="s") > win.print() This leads to a windows print dialog box- that diappears when i hit print. subquently i find a "GraphAppJob" of zero size in the print queue- this just sits until I enter dev.off() at which point a blank sheet is printed Is it me or is this a bug? My own correlation structure with nlme
Dear all, I am trying to define my own corStruct which is different from the classical one available in nlme. The structure of this correlation is given below. I am wondering to know how to continue with this structure by using specific functions (corMatrix, getCovariate, Initialize,...) in order to get a structure like corAR1, corSymm which will be working for my data. Thanks in advance.

GLS with nlme
Hello All, This is my third time attempting to post this message. I don't see it in the archive, so I'm guessing it is not getting through. If I am wrong, my apologies. I am trying to do a GLS regression, (X'V^-1X)^-1X'V^-1y, using the gls() function from the nlme package. I have the covariance matrix V. I have been searching for a way to specify the correlation structure

I installed R (R-2.4.1-win32.exe) on a new computer with Windows Vista and a 64 bit operating system (hp dv9000 with intel core t7200). The base R runs fine, but I can not get any of the packages to load. From within R I choose install packages choose a site then a package. I tried installing 2 packages and get similar errors (see below), I just copied and pasted lines from R. Can anyone

the function lme in package nlme
Dear people, A somewhat clueless question follows: I just discovered that the lme function in contrib package nlme for R, while similar to the lme function in Splus, does not use the cluster function option. This difference does not appear to be documented in the V&R `R Complements' file. I have data which is divided into 6 groups The lme model is of the form (simplified from the actual

question about corStruct
dear list, I am wondering if one can find examples and/or more detailed descriptions of modifications needed when going beyond standard corStruct classes (i.e. those already provided for use in lme/nlme)? When I looked at pages 238-239 of Pinheiro/Bates (2000): Mixed-effects models in S and S-plus, I found that I would need a bit more explicit guidance what to do for implementing a new

How to extract the within group correlation structure matrix in "lme"
Dear R users, I fitted a repeated measure model without random effects by using lme. I will use the estimates from that model as an initial estimates to do multiple imputation for missing values of the response variable in the model. I am trying to extract the within group correlation matrix or covariance matrix. here is my code: f = lme(y ~x0+x1+trt+tim+x1:tim +tim:trt,random=~-1|subj,

creating a new corClass for lme()
Hi, I have been using the function lme() of the package nlme to model grouped data that is auto-correlated in time and in space (the data was collected on different days via a moving monitor). I am aware that I can use the correlation classes corCAR1 and corExp (among other options) to model the temporal and spatial components of the auto-correlation. However, as far as I can tell, I can only
