Pb with R.matlab
Hello, I have problems running the R.matlab package. I work with R 2.3.1, under windows (using the Rgui). It seems that, even after loading the package, the "simple" functions such as writeMat() or readMat() are not recognized. For example, the following script leads to an error: > install.packages("R.matlab") --- Please select a CRAN mirror for use in this session ---

writeMat error
Hi I am using Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit, R as below, Matlab 7.6.0. I would like to transfer mat files back and forward between R and Matlab. Whilst I have used Matlab for years its been a long time since I have used R (hence question may be a bit simple) Running code A <- c(1:10) dim(A) <- c(2,5) library(R.matlab) writeMat('A.mat', A=A) Does not appear to generate any mat file

Saving a 3d array into a matlab file
Dear R users, I am tryting to save an 3d array to a matlab file like the following. A <- array(1:24, c(2,3,4)) writeMat(filename, A=A) But if I load the mat file from Matlab, it is not 3d matrix anymore. Does anyone know how I can preserve the 3d structure? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Minho Chae [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

R and Matlab
Dear Group, I am looking for ways to use R and Matlab. Doing the data transformations in R and using the data in Matlab to analyze with some pre-defined scripts. Any good ways to transfer the data into matlab in its most recent version? I tried using R.matlab but the writeMat output is not readable by Matlab. I just need to output a data.frame and read it as is into matlab where I can do any

: writeMat
I write a .mat file using the writeMat() command, but when i try to load it in Matlab it says that file may be corrupt. I did it a month ago and it worked. It exists any option that I can change for making the file readable to Matlab? > A <- c(1:10) > dim(A) <- c(2,5) > library(R.matlab) > writeMat('A.mat', A=A) And what matlab say is: "file may be corrupt"

roaming profiles ok, but what about the printers?
Hi there, We have a little intranetwork with Samba 3.0.x as PDC. There are 20 Win2k-clients in several rooms and 18 users roaming from one machine to another (according to their tasks). So any user has a roaming profile. This runs almost perfect (some minor problems are still there, but the the advantages are overwelming). But there is one thing, I can't understand. Why does Win2k saves

n00b questions - verbosity of config????
Hi, I''m learning puppet as that is what they use at my current work, though that could change... Question 1: Last place of work, we wrote our own perl based system which was extremely simple and concise to drive - eg to distribute a file, we would put it in: <nfsdir>/noarch/dist/etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf/ # which means create a file /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf on the

Fwd: Samba4 as AD server
So I set up two of my three Linode servers in the Texas datacenter as Samba4 domain controllers. (One to provision the domain, and one joining it.) These have IPTables in place that allow my home IP address to access any protocol/port, and 53 is allowed from everywhere for both tcp and udp. The domain that I configured is AD.WINDSOFSTORM.NET, and I have delegated NS records for that subdomain to

server recommentation (unique requirements)
Howdy. I've been having trouble finding a fairly modern server that meets the following requirements: - Molex power connectors (don't want to use the Digium FXS power supply) - 4 PCI slots, one full-length (TDM2400P, 2xT100P, additional NIC) - dual power supplies - preferably dual CPUs >= 1GHz - preferably rack-mountable (3-4RU) - CentOS-friendly We'd also like to stay away from

Tyan Thunder K8SE S2892 Report
I had my eye on the Tyan dual-Opteron mobos for awhile. I tried to find a posting *anywhere* sharing experiences with these boards under Linux. No such luck. So placing myself under the heading "Where Angles Fear to Tread," I went ahead and built a system anyway. Here's what I've learned. The specs: Tyan Thunder K8SE S2892, BIOS 1.01 2x Opteron 270, 2Ghz Dual-Core, retail
