Time series: xts/zoo object at annual (yearly) frequency
Hi, I'd like to make a time series at an annual frequency. > a<-xts(x=c(2,4,5), order.by=c("1991","1992","1993")) Error in xts(x = c(2, 4, 5), order.by = c("1991", "1992", "1993")) : order.by requires an appropriate time-based object > a<-xts(x=c(2,4,5), order.by=1991:1993) Error in xts(x = c(2, 4, 5), order.by =

Help: Standard errors arima
Hello, I'm an R newbie. I've tried to search, but my search skills don't seem up to finding what I need. (Maybe I don't know the correct terms?) I need the standard errors and not the confidence intervals from an ARIMA fit. I can get fits: > coef(test) ar1 ma1 intercept time(TempVector) - 1900

How to use getSymbols() to get annual data
Dear Sir/Madam, How to use getSymbols() to get annual data? For example, I need the annual stock price of APPLE from the year 2000 to 2016. How to write the command? I only know how to get the daily data. It is: getSymbols("AAPL",from="2000-01-01",to="2016-12-31") Thank you very much. Have a good week! Best regards, Yingrui Liu [[alternative HTML

convert annual data to quarterly frequency
Hi, I was wondering if there is a package I can use to convert my 22 annual observations to quarterly time series so that I will have 88 observations. Also, will there be any harm in doing so? will I loose any important data specific info? I want to run VARs in levels using TY method. Due to small sample, i will probably use a bootstrap method. Thanks! [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Annual cumulative sums from time series
Hello world, I am actually transferring a course in data management for students in biology, geography and agriculture from statistica to R - it works surprisingly well. If anyone is interested in my scratch/notepad (in German language), please see www.hydrology.uni-kiel.de/~schorsch/statistik/statistik_datenauswertung.pdf (pages 40-52) The dataset is:

how do i find the annual maximun within several years?
dear kind helper, i would like to know how to find the annual maximun for a table that basicly looks like this: date time measurement1 measurement2 measurement3 mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss m1 m2 m3 there are about 9000 measurements for each year, which makes it quite large... i already tried to subset all rows for a year, to find the maximum within these choosen rows, y <-

Browsercam.com Annual Membership
I have been using browsercam.com for CSS testing, but it is rather expensive. Recently, I discovered others using funadable.org to purchase a yearly membership as a group. A year long membership at browsercam.com costs $480.00. This gives us 25 user accounts. I am proposing that 25 people throw in $19.20 for their 1/25th share of the membership cost. Once I have raised $479.40 I will

Using 'diff' on zoo vs zooreg classes (possible bug?)
Hello, Can anyone explain the following behaviour? To me it seems a bug, but maybe it is intentional. It seems that a diff on a zooreg class that is not _strictly_ regular only considers those entries that are 'deltat' apart. In the following, diff on the zooreg class only returns values where the index was one second apart. The example replicates by dev code, but I've also tested

Problem with zoo and BootPR packages
Hi, I'm trying to plot the forecasts I generated using the Plot.Fore function of the BootPR package. zooreg and lmrob problem (bug?)
Hi all and thanks for your time in advance, I can't figure out why summary.lmrob complains when lmrob is used on a zooreg object. If the zooreg object is converted to vector before calling lmrob, no problems appear. Let me clarify this with an example: >library(robustbase) >library(zoo) >dad<-c(801.4625,527.2062,545.2250,608.2313,633.8875,575.9500,797.0500,706.4188,

confused with yearmon, xts and maybe zoo
R-listers, I am using xts with a yearmon index, but am getting some inconsistent results with the date index when i drop observations (for example by using na.omit). The issue is illustrated in the example below. If I start with a monthly zooreg series starting in 2009, yearmon converts this to "Dec-2008". Not such a worry for my example, but strange. Having converted to xts, i drop

Subsetting a zooreg object using window / subset
Dear R users, I am currently working in subsetting a zooreg() object using either window or subset. I have a solution but it may be a bit cumbersome when I start working with actual data. Your inputs would be greatly appreciated. Example: I have a zooreg() object that starts in 1997 and ends in 2001. This object contains daily data for the 4 years

How to create sequence in month
Hi all, can anyone please guide me how to create a sequence of months? Here I have tried following however couldn't get success > library(zoo) > seq(as.yearmon("2010-01-01"), as.yearmon("2010-03-01"), by="1 month") Error in del/by : non-numeric argument to binary operator What is the correct way to do that? Thanks for your time.

combine lattice plot and standard R plot
Dear R users, I would like to combine lattice plot (xyplot) and standard R plot (plot and plotCI) in an unique figure. I use the function "par()" to combine plot and plotCI and I use the function "print()" to combine xyplot. I tried to use these functions to combine xyplot and plotCI and plots but they do not work. Does anybody know how I can do this? Thank you very much in
