Can''t find where to put non-index methods for appController
I have a couple of methods that I would like to not be available to the world as actions in my ApplicationController, but need to be visible to the methods in my ApplicationController. This is a dumb question yes, and I know the answer is extermely simple. Can I stuff them in another class somewhere? If so, what rails directory do I put it in? Thanks, -Jon -- Posted via

Make link_to_remote call redirect current view, not read redirected content
Hello everyone ! I have a link_to_remote which creates a Party from a ContactRequest. The action on the server creates the party, marks the contact request as processed, and then returns a redirect. According to my knowledge of HTTP, that is the correct thing to do. Unfortunately, Prototype is being too clever for me at this time... It follows the redirect, without notifying me. Anybody has

[MacOSX] Firefox Not Diplaying Images
Forgive the random question, but for those of you Mac OS X users... Does anyone else have a problem with Firefox 1.5 not displaying pictures/graphics embedded on web pages. Safari doesn''t seem to have a problem with them. For example, my blog appears correctly in Safari, however Firefox drops background images. Clues? Thanks. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ D''Andrew "Dave"

RJS removing content of div, but not div itself

link_to_remote fix, should this be added to edge rails?
After looking at the link_to_remote tag for the first time, I found it broke when javascript was disabled. Below is one possible solution I found and would like to suggest that this idea is promoted into rails. # # provide fix for link_to_remote tag when javascript is not enabled def link_to_remote_fix(text, options) link_to_remote text, options, :href => url_for(
