plot question
Hi!
I want to display 2 graphs with different number of data points on the
x-axis. The code below scales them so it seems that testtwo has the
same number of data points as testone. How can I fix that? thanks.
z<-1:50;
x<-1:100;
plot(x,testone,type="l",xlab="",ylab="",main="",lty=4,axes=FALSE,ylim=c(-1.0,1.0),cex=1);
par(new=TRUE);

Help with tryCatch
Windows XP
R 2.8.1
Colleagues,
I am trying to run a function testone() and if the function completes without error do one set of instructions, and if the function generates either a warning or an error run another set of instructions. I have read try, and tryCatch help screens at least 20 times, have tried to experiment with code, but I can't understand how to accomplish my desired task.

'r' flag in ACL stomping on 'l' flag effect
We're using Dovecot 1.0.3, and I'm setting up some shared IMAP
folders. The eventual goal is to do the standard "learn as spam" /
"learn as ham" type of setup, with some cron jobs to do the message
extractions.
But there's one minor twist: the "learn as ham" folder will need to
be write-only for users. (I'll either create a fake user with read

Adding a function with default parameters into the Rcmdr menu
Hi everyone,
I made some tests with Rcmdr, to add a function with default parameters :
For example (very simple):
myfunction<-function(var="314"){
print("hello")
print(var)
}
if I run myfunction() directly i see :
> myfunction()
[1] "hello"
[1] "314"
it's ok.
But if i edit de Rcmdr-menu.txt (in

Menu addditions to Rcmdr v0.9-6
1) In general, I would appreciate help in adding functions to the Rcmdr
menu system. I've been able to modify the menus themselves and source test
code but I can't get R functions to execute from the menu. My latest proof
of concept code follows:
Three lines added to "Rcmdr-menus.txt":

Submenues
Hello wxruby users,
Kevin, thank you for the answer about the status bar flicker. I think this
is a question for wxWindows mailing lists.
It''s great that 0.2 version will be released soon! It is impossible
to create submenues in 0.1. Could you add the ruby function
append_submenu(id, item, submenu, helpString) to the Wx::Menu class in 0.2,
which calls the wxWindows function

Rcmdr extensions
Dear List,
I am trying to extend Rcmdr with some functions usefult to my
study... I have addedd succesfully a menu and some submenu to the
GUI, and I have placed a file .R in the /etc folder... I am able to
call functions on that file, but I cannot see the results: how can I
tell Rcmdr to write the output in the output box?
Second question: how can I refer to the actually selected

Problem with "additional" submenus
Hello all,
First off, thanks for the great work.
I have recently added "more submenus" to a functioning advanced menu
that only had one "submenu off of the main menu before" The addition of
the new submenus has caused the main menu to not function correctly and
I have been pouring over the code for several weeks and I just cannot
see the error that I have introduced. This

menu module behaviour for menu exit
Hi,
I was looking for a way to have a submenu go back to the previous menu
when you use Escape inside the submenu. Or to return back to a menu when
you return from a com32 entry (eg. kbdmap, hdt or rosh).
I had hoped something like this worked:
----
default bootlocal
prompt 1
label menu
menu hide
kernel menu.c32
label bootlocal
menu hide
localboot -1
menu begin main

Vegas Video 4.0 menus
Hi.
I'm trying to get a program called Sony Vegas Video 4.0 working in Wine.
I'm not the first one to try this:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.wine.user/8815
Last time, the person got the program running but ran into two problems:
the video preview didn't work and the menus disappeared after one use. I
believe I have fixed the first problem. The solution to this is to

Sub-menus?
Hey guys,
I have been trying unsuccessfully to create a menu that holds "sub-menus".
To clarify, I want something along the lines of when you click on a File
menu, then see the "New" menu, which you can click on to open a new layer of
menus. Is this supported yet in WxRuby?

menu.c32, submenus
I am trying to create submenus, or more specifically a single submenu, using PXELINUX and the menu.c32. I have a tftp share with a basic config:
/ (root of tftp)
pxelinux.0
menu.c32
/diskdiag (dir)
/diskdiag/dskdiag.0
/pxelinux.cfg (dir)
/pxelinux.cfg/default
/pxelinux.cfg/dskdiag
one of the menu items in /pxelinux.cfg/default is as follows:
LABEL DISKDIAG
MENU LABEL [^B] Disk Diagnostics

PyGrub And Grub2 Submenus
I recently updated the kernel on an Ubuntu 11.04 PVM domU. The dom0 is an up
to date Debian Squeeze host (Xen 4.0.1). Attempting to start the domU after
this with xm create gives "Error: Boot loader didn''t return any data!". I
ran pygrub against the domU manually, I got the following:

Menu system bug - MENU DEFAULT not working
Hello,
I'm reporting a bug, see attached syslinux.cfg
I'm using submenu entries to emulate checkbox inputs.
The idea is simple, there are submenus generated for all possible cases,
and each Enter keypress loads appropriate submenu section.
The logic of the menu is correct. Just syslinux has some bug.
It doesn't set MENU DEFAULT properly for all submenus.
If your first Enter keypress

Arrow key feature request
Since keystrokes were brought up, this seems like a reasonable time to
make the following seemingly simple-to-implement feature request:
Navigating a multi-level menu structure seems to require use of
UP/DOWN/ENTER/ESC. It would be easier to quickly search/navigate if it
could be done with fingers stationed on the arrow keys so that the eyes
can stay focused on the screen.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Parallelized make check
Hello,
The attached patch adds the jcheck target equivalent to make check, but
that can run with a -j flag ($ make jcheck -jX).
It does not interfere with the regular check, but rather builds on top
of the check-one target: it first generates a list of tests to run using
RunLLVMTests, and then run those tests according to the supplied -j
flag, invoking the check-one target for each one of them.

How to disable existing menus in tcltk?
Hi!
I've constructed a small menu-driven interface to a couple of R functions
using the possibilities offered by the tcltk package. When user runs some
specific analyses, I would then like to disable some of the menus (or menu
choises) that are not applicable after the performed analysis. I tried to
modify the state of an existing menu, but it seems that neither

Bug#680479: xen-utils-4.0: pygrub does not support grub2 submenus
Package: xen-utils-4.0
Version: 4.0.1-5.2
Severity: important
Tags: upstream patch
pygrub in Debian Squueze does not support Grub2 submenus. At least
Ubuntu Precise uses a submenu for older kernel versions, so a Precise
domU with more than one kernel installed will be unbootable (without
manual fixes) on a Squeeze dom0.
Attached is a patch that adds submenu support to pygrub.
