Hello R and tcltk users...
I'm running into difficulties applying the tkmenubutton() and tklistbox()
functions, found in the tcltk package, to a simple gui. My search for R
code which utilizes these two functions has come up empty. Currently, I am
attempting to translate pure "Tcl/Tk" code to R with little to no success.
So far, the most helpful tool for learning the tcltk R

tcltk: Difficulties creating menus
I am struggling with adding menus to a tcltk application. The following
example (from the O'Reilly book on Perl/Tk) works fine:

menubutton don´t work
Why the variable archOp does not take the value that be chosen in the
menubutton?, therefore always remains as a white one, I intend to charge
the direccion of open files in a vector and then to elect with the
menubutton with which to work but not functions thanks.Ruben

add checkbutton and the variable(wrong length of vector "b")
Hello it wanted to add a boton of checkup in a menu, ?How I do to create so
many variables as checkbutton? I try with the code that continues, use a
vector that is charged dynamicamente while I open files but the component
of vector "b" is associates with a Tcl variable and load 3 components
(environment, value and pointer) I wanted alone to charge the value (0 done

Weird vmstat -s stats
On -STABLE as of Mon Jun 9 04:43:55 CEST 2003,
"vmstat -s" shows on one of my boxes (uptime: 26 days):
-1597015721 total name lookups
cache hits (101% pos + 0% neg) system 0% per-directory
deletions 0%, falsehits 0%, toolong 0%
Weird. I'll have to cvsup again and hope this has been fixed :)

Fw: ov_open failing with all files
Hi,
I'm experiencing (what I think), is an odd problem. Whenever I try to open a
plain ogg file with the code below, it is failing with OV_EBADHEADER.
I am able to open (and play), blowfish encrypted files using the
ov_open_callback (and openssl BIO functions), so I thought maybe I had
struck some silly problem with the default FILE * handlers.

Control Characters
I am attempting a text editor using wxRuby. I''m having character issues.
Strings are not binary-safe.
Some characters are not allowed.
- newline / line feed (\n), tab (\t) are displayed
- carraige return (\r) is stripped
- Other control characters and high-ascii cause control values to become
empty.
Affected controls include: Wx::TextCtrl, Wx::StaticText, Wx::Clipboard,
et al.

Hi guys
I've set up a layered menu system on one of my asterisk servers where
there is a main menu and several submenus; one for each department. Each
menu plays a background intro message giving its various options. My
problem is when I'm in the main menu and press the option to go to one of

immediate Descendants not working in IE
Hi, im currently styling a menu using a java script effect which hides
the nested submenus on load, and also shows/hides them on mouseover.
It is working in firefox, using ...

Menu system bug - MENU DEFAULT not working
Hello,
I'm reporting a bug, see attached syslinux.cfg
I'm using submenu entries to emulate checkbox inputs.
The idea is simple, there are submenus generated for all possible cases,
and each Enter keypress loads appropriate submenu section.
The logic of the menu is correct. Just syslinux has some bug.
It doesn't set MENU DEFAULT properly for all submenus.
