Hello - R-experts,
Is there any way with which we can specify the number after
decimal point to take. Like I have a situation where
the values are comming 0.160325923 but I only want
4 place to decimal say 0.1603. Is there any way for that.
I am no expert in R- and this may sound simple to many.sorry
Thanks for any help.

data of which the first

ploting the barplot
with all the data I am getting a single line -> test1.jpg.
But If I remove the 1st value i.e 162589 then I am getting a normal

I am able to create multi histogram using
multhist(). But not able to control the 'xlim'.

Controling the x or y limit
Hello - R-experts,
This may sound simple to many ---
We can specify the x limit by saying xlim = c(0, 20) for example.
Then the graph will show the range of x -axis between 0 - 20.
But the coordinate gap will be automatic like 0 then 5 then 15 and 20.
Is there any way by which we can set it in a gap of 2 or any number.
Thank you for any help.

Icecast RTP support
Hi,
Does Icecast has RTP support for streaming OGG/Vorbis and OGG/theora
media files?
If so, then please give me some pointers on how to configure my
Icecast server to listen to RTP requests.
If it's not available, then is the inclusion of this feature, in plans
for future release of the product?
Thanks

subtotals based on price bands?
I would like to create a subtotal table with custom bands.
seq1 = seq(0, 100, by = 5)
seq2 = seq(100, 1000, by = 100)
Bands = c(seq1, seq2)
#Prices
Prices = sample(1:1000, 200, replace=F)
#corresponding size for the given price above.
size = sample(1:1000, 200, replace=F)
How would I find the subtotal of the size based on a given price falls
within a band?

Icecast and ezstream
Hi,
What is the actual functionality of ezstream when I use it with
Icecast?What does it exactly do?
Why isn't Icecast written to read a file directly and stream it?

Default for bin limits in hist()
Hello all.
I noticed that the default setting for breaks in the construction of histograms in hist() is ?right = TRUE?.
I think ?right=FALSE? would be more consistent with usual definitions of lower and upper limits for bins in applied statistics, and I suggest that you consider making it the default for hist().
For example, I generated the following frequency distribution for duration of

Grouping by interval
Hello,
I have a dataframe of say 20 lines with one line per individual. I want to group these 20 individuals
by length class (eg. of 5cm) and get the mean value of all the other variables (eg VarA and VarB) for each length class
My dataframe is as follow:
Length <- 10:30
VarA <- seq(1000,1200,10)
VarB <- seq(500,700,10)
Data <- cbind(Length,VarA,VarB)
And I want to get something

explicit header deps: patch
Here are some very small header patches to make header dependencies
less visible. If other developers would like to use cxref to produce
cross-referenced html source, I can post a Makefile to do this.
Sorry about not being able to send it as an attachment. You can
also get it at http://216.164.32.243/~kruus/vorbis/ for now, but my
net connection is slow.
'cxref' suits my purposes,

Scheduler Parameters
Hi,
I have a naive question with the xen BVT scheduler.
Supposing I have only one guest domain runnning on domain 0 and with
the xm bvt command I have allocated cpu units in the ratio 9:1 to
domain 0 and domain 1(say) respectively.
Now I create another guest domain. How much CPU share it (or
subsequent domains created after it) will get?

Not in the current version. It may be added in the relatively distant
future, but there's nobody workingon it at the moment.

ploting dots with quentiles
http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/file/n2260087/%E6%8D%95%E8%8E%B7.png
I am going to plot my data set like this, with means and 25% & 75%
quentiles.
I've tried "boxplot", but the output is not what I want. Should I use other
functions? Thanks

I'm trying to do something very simple...
I wan to plot a histogram where the y axis represent the percentage of the
total sample that each bin represents.
I know how to plot a histogram with the counts and density... but can't find
anything that gives me perenct of sample on the y axis.

Ploting 3D cylinder in RGL
Dear all,
I would like to draw a 3-D horizontal cylinder preferably in RGL device
(because this gives the look from different angles). Basic idea is from
http://www.tau.ac.il/cc/pages/docs/sas8/insight/chap18/sect3.htm.
Below is the description exactly what I want to do.
Please see at figure 18.6, 1st plot. Here it is an confidence ellipsoid.
Suppose now you put another 4 same ellipsoids on top
