Resource Bundle Roundup
I''ve recently made a first release of what I''m calling
"bundled_resource" which is a plugin that makes our lives *much*
easier when we need to use javascripts, stylesheets and images in
conjunction with one another to deliver a special effect or tool on
the client (browser) side. If you missed the release, read about it

bundled_resource v.0.9
Original announcement at http://blog.inquirylabs.com/ [1]
== What is bundled_resource? ==
If your development is in any way similar to mine, there are a number
of useful resources out there that make web applications shine
beautifully. For example, there?s the Dynarch calendar and the
textarea tools. There are a number of others?too many, in fact. The
problem is that as a web developer,

TextMate: syncPEOPLE on Rails Bundle Becomes Built-in Rails Bundle
It?s official, folks!
After talking with my partner, Greg Narain, as well as Allan Odgaard,
the creator of TextMate, we (syncPEOPLE) have decided to release our
Rails bundle under the MIT license so that it can nest itself nicely
within its new home, the TextMate Subversion Bundle Repository.
What this means for the rest of us is that all of these great
features we?ve been madly

Textmate Rails Plugin Cheat Sheet
I''m a slow learner when it come to shortcuts and i got real tired
looking up Textmate''s Rails snippets & commands in the context menu.
So i fired up trusty OmniGraffle and quickly created a little Cheat
Sheet for all default snippets/macros/commands in Textmate''s current
Rails Bundle. Certainly helped me to remember these quickly. So, if

MASC = A New Way to Use Textmate Snippets
Just thought I''d announce this on the Rails list since I know several
of you use Textmate: there''s a new feature I''m calling "Multiple
Arbitrary Simultaneous Carets" or MASC for short, which is available
in my personal TM bundle. It''s been handy enough for me that I
thought others might enjoy it.

Recommendations please for plugin(s)
For my application I''m going to be in need of a
1-small calendar (pop up kind) where a user would click on a month/date and
it would be sent back to the form action.
2-also some kind of textarea / htmlarea plugin
I''ve perused around the plugin directory and possible found a calendar. I
think dynarch is the name and included in a suite.
As for the htmlarea I think there was a

Is there a best practice in dealing with javascript dependencies?
As I''ve begun to work with several javascript libraries out there,
I''ve run in to some dependency issues that must have been solved by
others before.
For example, I''m trying to implement the jstree library from Laurie
Harper in to BundledResource. Breaking the ''jstree'' javascript from
the sample html out in to its own file caused it to fail

omindex and scriptindex question
Hi,
I was researching indexing of text in omindex and scriptindex.
While indexing text with omindex.cc possition of terms is saved with gap.
This is not happening with scriptindex.cc
While this is happening ?
Another question is why in omindex.cc the term possition starts with 0 while
in scriptindex it starts from 1 ?
Code snippet from omindex.cc
// Add postings for terms to the document

Not all mongrel starting (Errno:EEXIST)
I''m playing with the mongrel clustering, and am having a problem getting 2
mongrels to start up reliably.
This should be a pretty simple cluster, with just 2 instances running. My
mongrel config (mongrel_cluster.yml) looks like:
cwd: /deployment/installed/myapp/current
log_file: log/mongrel.log
port: "8000"
environment: production
address: 127.0.0.1

Syncpeople Plugin Scope Never Active
I installed the Syncpeople textmate bundle (
http://syncpeople.com/downloads/syncpeople_on_rails_features ) and the
commands all work from the menu, but the short-cuts never work for any
of the snippets or commands ever work, because the scopes are not
being selected properly. If I change the scope to just "source.ruby"
it will work fine. But I cannot see why their scope selectors do not

== Announcing Version 1.0 ==
The backtracer has been around for a while now, and seems to have
done its job well enough to deserve a 1.0 mark.

Whenever a Rails exception occurs, it spits out a backtrace full of
filenames and line numbers. I?ve often thought, ?Wouldn?t it be nice

Controller to View and Back Again (TextMate shortcut)
One of the most inconvenient things about the Rails directory
structure is the relative distance between the controller and its
corresponding view files. While it?s organizationally sound, it?s
often a pain to go hunting for a view (especially in a complicated
application that has modules and modules within modules).
I discovered a fantastic little key-combo within TextMate the other

discard_year => true
Hi All
I''m attempting to make a simple time select field so I thought I just
needed a datetime_select with the option :discard_year => true.
However, every ''discard'' option except discard_year seems to work. So
I''m left with a year, hour and minute to select.
Could anyone please point me in the right direction?
Much appreciated.

textmate_backtracer plugin
Whenever a Rails exception occurs, it spits out a backtrace full of
filenames and line numbers. I?ve often thought, ?Wouldn?t it be nice
if I could just click on one of those and it would take me to the
problem?? Well, it *is* nice?and you can use this new plugin with
TextMate too, if you?d like.
