Merging by factor variables
I'm wondering about the behavior of the merge function when using factors as by variables. I know that when you combine two factors using c() the results can be odd, as in: c(factor(1:5),factor(6:10)) which prints: [1] 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 5 I presume this is because factors are actually stored as integers, with 6,7,8,9,10 stored internally as 1,2,3,4,5. Pages with granulepos = -1 while encoding..
Hi all ! Following my recent issued with my encoder, I've narrowed the issue to the fact that, when encoding, for some returned pages, the granulepos returned by the libogg is -1. Is that normal ? How should I intepret it if I want to order the pages ? Romain

Thanks for all of the input, not really sure what if anything I will do.? i was hoping it would be easy and i could just create a /boot in root, and copy the actual boot contents to it and use it.?? wishful thinking i guess.? just to give a complete picture here is the current partitioning on the server....in case anyone wants to say anymore.? hi all, I want to move some routing tasks out of the router and into the controller. The goal is to make Merb feel less like mod_rewrite and give the user more control at the controller. The new Router is simple: it takes the path_info (not the whole request) then outputs a controller class and some parameters from the path matching. The rest of the routing would be done at the controller level.

p-level in packages mgcv and gam
Hi, I am fairly new to GAM and started using package mgcv. I like the fact that optimal smoothing is automatically used (i.e. df are not determined a priori but calculated by the gam procedure).
