Nemenyi test as a post-hoc test to Kruskal Wallis
Dear all, I've discovered the possibility to do the Nemenyi-Damico-Wolfe-Dunn test in the library(coin); oneway_test() With the given example I am unfortunately not able to reproduce the test. What does trafo and contrMat mean? I have a dataframe with 176 elements in 7 classes. It may be a problem, that my model isn't balanced? In Class1 I happen to have 4 elements, while there are 90 in

Nemenyi test for two way layout data.
I am trying to do a Nonparametric Nemenyi test for multiple comparison in a two way layout data because I need to know the exact distribution. I don?t know if this test is in the R software. I just found a Nemenyi test for a one way design. But in Hollander book the Nemenyi test is in page 253 for to way layout data. Thank you for your help.

kernel-plus PXE virt-install with Xen?
I'm trying to figure out how to replace the vmlinuz and initrd.img from CentOS 7.4 with "fixed" kernel-plus versions in order create CentOS 7.4 VM's. So far I'm stuck booting via 7.3 install, adding new kernel-plus and upgrading to 7.4. I've not found any complete Google answers and was looking for help making sure I choose the correct approach. I've tried to build

Different result with "kruskal.test" and post-hoc analysis with Nemenyi-Damico-Wolfe-Dunn test implemented in the help page for oneway_test in the coin package that uses multcomp
Dear Researchers, Sorry for this email but I am not a statistician, and for this I have this problem to understand. Thanks in Advance for help and suggestions. Gianni I have 21 classes (00, 01, 02, 04, ....,020) with different length. I did a kruskal wall test in R with the following code kruskal.test(m.class.l, m.class.length.lf) Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test data: m.class.l and

domain master browser
I'd like my Samba server to be a Domain Master Browser for a workgroup (let's call it 'ENGINEER'). I set it up according to BROWSING.txt, but yet Windows NT/95 PCs on other subnets are unable to browse and see computers on this subnet (even if those PCs are also in the same workgroup). It appears that the Samba is not acting as the Domain Master Browser ... at least as far as

how to use apply on a two variable t-test
does anyone know how to use the apply function on a two-variable t-test? i've tried everything. apply(data[1:4],1,t.test) # works, but only a one-variable test apply((data[1:4],data[5:9]),1,t.test) # returns a syntax error i've also tried using the for loop: for (i in 1:1000) t.test(data[i,1:4],data[i,5:9]) doesn't print anything! it processes for awhile, so i know it's doing

Unexpected results using the oneway_test in the coin package
Dear fellow R users, Keywords: Kruskal-Wallis, Post-Hoc, pair-wise comparisons, Nemenyi-Damico-Wolfe-Dunn test, coin package, oneway_test I am using the "oneway_test" function in the R package "coin" and I am obtaining results which I cannot believe are accurate. I do not wish to waste anyone's time and so if the following problem is rather trivial, I apologize, however I

simple example of C interface to R
i'd like to use the C interface to R in a program i'm writing. as a starting point, i'm trying to create a very simple C program that uses R. i've read the R documentation on this, but i'm having trouble figuring out where SEXP is defined and how to use it. i noticed someone else on this list also tried to use the C interface, but they ran into similar problems:

Post hoc tests
This is only partly an R question, but this seems a good place to ask. Like many, if not most, statistics programs, R has no post hoc tests for Kruskal Wallis or Friedman, and as far as I can make out they are not available in any of the R packages. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction if I am wrong. As I said this is not uncommon. Parametric Anova procedures

kruskal wallis post hoc test in R
Hello, I need nemenyi-test or any other post-hoc test for kruskal-wallis, but I just can't find out how to implement this in R. My data set is nitrite concentrations in four different groups which I intend to compare. The kruskal-wallis-test showed significance, but I still don't know between which groups these significances are. Can anybody help me with this? Thanks

Post-hoc test for Kruskal-Wallis
Hi there, I've got a small question : is there any post-hoc test for Kruskal rank sum test integrated in R ? I know that the Nemenyi test is one of the post-hoc that can be used, but there's no (to by knowledge) R function for it. What should I do ? Thanks, Etienne

Finding start of audio data using metadata level 2 interface.
I'm attempting to use the metadata level 2 interface to get at the various interesting bits, which is working fine. But I also need a relevant piece of data, the offset of where the metadata ends, and the audio blocks begin. I'm not finding a clear way to reach that number. Is this exposed anywhere? Thanks. -D -- The revolution will be documented.

Custom LiveCD images with CentOS8
Is it at this moment possible to build custom LiveCD images? Are they all necessary tools available in CentOS8? I have never done this and wonder if it is still possible for C8. C7 stuff seems to be here: https://github.com/CentOS/sig-core-livemedia Not quite sure if Fedora howtos can be applied here. Any hints? Thanks, Leon

Post-Hoc tests for Friedman Test?
Hi there all, This is my first post to the list and I'll first say a few things: - R is great! - The archives of this list have helped me solve all of my problems/questions so far - I only know enough statistics "to be dangerous" I'm looking for a way to do post-hoc tests for the Friedman test. I have a dataset from a within-subjects design with 5 conditions where some of

count ties after rank?
Hello! I need to use Kruskal-Wallis test and post-hoc test (Dunn's test) for my data. But when I searched around, I only found this function: kruskal.test. But nothing for Dunn's test. So I started to write one myself. But I do not know how to count ties in the data frame. I can use for loops but it seems long and unnecessary since the rank function actually knows the ties. So

Post-Hoc Test for Kruskal-Wallis Rank Sum Test
Hi list, I would like to know if there is a way in R to execute a post-hoc test (factor levels comparison, like Tukey for ANOVA) of a non-parametric analysis of variance (kruskal.test() function object). I was looking for something like the Dunn Test. I’ve searched the internet but nothing seemed to define a way to it. Do You have any suggestion? Other equivalent test maybe! Thanks in
